Yup, Jim just told me that WGF have another cargo container incoming. Retailers have been allotted amounts from that container. ETA to retailers is a few weeks, but KS stuff is priority.

I think my airbrush will get a workout soon. Looks like it's time to take my metal Kriegsmarine models out of their packaging and get them put together and painted.

Mark, any idea if you will be doing plastic Kriegsmarine models at some point in the future?
I prefer the look of them to the Stormtrooper models.

So, contest to get some DFG KS models painted up and showcased for the interwebs?

Celebratory drinking, or were the models so disappointing they drove you into the bottle?

Also, this post is extra ironic because the models are shipping out of Utah.

Spent five minutes thinking of a witty reply but brain no think work good. Gonna head over and try to take some pics.

He was so sad that he could have their awesomeness on the table "RIGHT NAO" that he started sad-drinking. Then he realized he would have them soon, and started party-drinking. Then he realized he had to get pictures for the Internet and went back to sad-drinking. Three drinking sessions in a night leads to some nasty hangovers.

Is the free flea market at the Muster going to let us see the WGF booth? I might make the trip in that case, but I'm not a fan of paying gas and $20 to see something I'll get in a week or two anyway...

I was mainly drinking because my French were soundly thrashed by Henry V's forces at the Battle of Harfleur... here's the chain of events. I was drinking because I hate the French and was playing them, then I was drinking because I lost, and then I was drunk and bought 8 boxes of WGF Samurai and 6 boxes of WGF WSS, then I drank some more to forget that my fiancee will kill me. And now today I wanna get Jim drunk so I can convince him to let me "borrow" the Dreamforge kits. But I'll probably wind up getting drunk again myself.

I honestly think no one will care about you wandering over to the vendor area without registering (the flea market will be in the other smaller room). Seriously just walk into the hotel, hang a right immediately. When you get to the big room, WGF is back at the left. Bring a napkin for your drool.

Yep. Them are some purty models up dere.

I really wish I was interested in doing an IG style army. I'd buy these in a heartbeat. Still, I expect I'll be more than content with my Crusader for a while at least.

Thanks for the pics, good to see more shots of sprues and minis : )

After reading up on the setting the Eisenkern are in, I'm probably up for any of the factions tbh. If they maintain Marks great designing and WGF's great production I'm sold.

Getting to the stage where i'm thinking "screw counts as 40k, what a waste." That would depend on the rules though I guess.

My local store confirmed they're bringing them in when they're available. I do have a couple of questions though:

How big is the base this thing is standing on?

Spoiler:

Also, what was the final word on the Mortis from the Kickstarter? Is it getting the plastic treatment? Stand alone kit? Upgrade kit? Resin upgrade kit?

The Mortis will be in plastic too. Stand alone kit I can't remember which wave though sorry.

Everything from the KS will be in plastic. The Mortis is a wave 3 model IIRC.

I'm actually quite underwhelmed by the actual assembled picture of these guys. They don't seem to have meaningfully achieved the type of benefits that multi-part plastics can provide-- the poses there look quite bland and undifferentiated from one another. Hopefully the addon packs will allow for more variety in this respect.

Really? I think they are leagues more different than say IG or marines, Plus with that assesory pack, you can do moast anything, I wish there were more kneeling or a laying down position, but what models do you see that are more possible?

Considering the upgrade pack has 48 arms, 60 hands, dozens of heads, weapons, pouches, gear and gubbins & gibbons, I think this goes without saying.

Granted I did not push the pose for each figure to be unique. I tried to simply show the various arms and legs in a more neutral stance.
Having said that, these are not character models; they are core troop choices. They truly benefit from the Accessory pack. If I had made overly dynamic poses, you would have had twenty jumping, leaping space ninjas… I chose to stick to more realistic leg poses for the core troop choices.

I would wager that if you line up twenty of any core troop choice models from any manufacturer and they would look rather homogeneous. I have provided the tools: 12 leg poses 3 arm poses of each weapon and the ability to pose most of the miniature as you choose, and an extensive accessory set to customize your miniatures. This is well beyond most major manufacturers, what you do with the tools provided is totally up to you.

Ok, I vote that Mark's next Kickstarter is not for Shadokesh, but for an army of leaping space ninjas.

After the shadokesh you should have an army of red shirts backed up by white hats in cardboard power armor. Wait, that army will be coming after you in real life for destroying their game.

So mark, any renders of shadokesh you can share? Or approximate timeline for them and the rules?

LOL. Should they be in ballet poses or something?

You need to take a second look at the picture, because they are very, very different from one another.

Naw dawg, they should be like WHFB Empire soldiers, where they're all in the same pose 'cept some of them don't have shoes and they don't know how to use their own weapons.
