I think, this ^^^ I cannot contact Paul right now because he is away from Skype and at the distribution center overseeing the shipping crew. but I would imagine they are dealing with it in a "like" order scenario. This is what I would do, managing all those orders at once, I think I would group them by customers that had similar orders, i.e. customers that had 1 Leviathan and 1 Stormtrooper would be a group and I would go through all orders in that group then move to the next. (Note: this is complete conjecture)

As a note to self... I just put together the Shadokesh and handler. It is a bit of a finicky kit because we are dealing with two figure connected by a chain. I did not know how they would split the models when I delivered the CAD files. Future releases of this kind of combination will have foot tabs and holes in the base to ease with locating the correct distance between the figures and ease in assembly. I was able to do it just fine but the assembly was not as enjoyable as it could have been. Not having foot tabs also lessens the strength of the bond 'miniature to base' . An oversight on my part that I will correct in future releases.

I don't think the 'like' scenario is likely: someone initially reported getting a single leviathan (plus bonuses) shipped, then someone got a leviathan and a bunch of stormtroopers shipped, then I got my leviathan shipped - probably just entirely random

I stand corrected... likely random then.

I have stayed away from this since completing the pledge process, because I didn't want to be wound up counting down the days for months on end.

But now.... I am nearly bursting with anticipation waiting to see a shipping notification!!!

You and me both. To make it more annoying, this email account which normally only gets five or six emails a week has been getting that many a day so there's lots of false hopes...

Soon....soon...

Literally right after I posted that worried post I got my shipping notification

So it's definitely not alphabetical, since my last name starts with B.

I don't ever remember what I ordered anymore, only that it wasn't enough

So probably the same timeframe as it would have been if they were actually sent from the US. Hopefully...

Awwwwww yeahhhh boyeeeee! (cue Beastie Boys)

Got my tracking number just now! On track for delivery Feb 12th, right before my next set of off days.

Sorry to the rest of you guys waiting :( But, look at it on the bright side. You WILL be getting models soonish, and this project isn't just vaporware

Now I just have to make sure my compressor tank is working. I forgot to drain it after the last time I used it and found some damn rusty water in it yesterday :(

So as not to derail the thread, anyone know how to help repair or prevent more rust in an air compressor tank, feel free to PM me.

Honestly I don't know if that will be the case or not... I am not sure how they sent the packages. or even if there is a 'priority' HK mail, although I imagine there is.

I know when I discussed it with China, we talked about getting them to you at about the same time as the US, my understanding is that is what they going to do, so that is what I communicated to all of you.

When I get a chance to speak with Wai Kee, I will try and get a clearer picture of where we are and what to expect. I do apologize for frustration. This is an issue that I am trying to get an answer on right now through a couple of communication lines.

It was a happy day today as I arrived home to a 6lb package from UPS. Titan received and WOW the kit looks great. The Packaging is awesome. I just wish I did not have a Mega Battle next week with Black Legion or I would be starting this project now.

WOW I just had to say it again.

Unfortunately, You were correct.

Update# 89 was not a happy one.....

Your packages shipped from China to Hong Kong on the 30th. They left Hong Kong bound for the Pacific Rim countries yesterday. Paul from WGF will be sending the tracking numbers out in the next couple of days.

I just got off a call with China, and I owe all of you an apology. When we discussed shipping to Australia and the Pacific Rim we wanted to time the deliveries so that they coincided with the deliveries in the US and do something nice for a group of people that typically get late deliveries. Unfortunately whoever was looking into this aspect and the expected delivery time was in error when estimating the time in transit. What should have gone out two weeks prior was held in China under a misunderstanding of the actual time it takes to make the voyage.

Basically, we screwed up and turned what should have been a positive into a negative. It goes without saying that those affected and myself are not happy about how this turned out.
The true time in travel will be about the same as if we had shipped from the US with the main shipment being processed now. It is very frustrating that a miscommunication and oversight led to setting expectations that could not be met; I really don’t know what to say other than I apologize. If I can make it up to you with the next two phases, we will get them out the door within a few days of the container leaving for the US. I know that for those of you with just stage one deliveries this is not helpful but unfortunately there is nothing I can do to change what transpired, I can only learn from this mistake, apologize to you and make sure that we do not repeat it.

Sincerely,
Mark Mondragon

I don't understand why they were held at all instead of being sent out ASAP.

Actually, I think I do unfortunately. To stop some (not all - and not the majority of Dakka posters) US backers from having a self-entitled meltdown when someone else in the world got their toys before they did..

Maybe instead of timing the next non-US shipments around US backers, just send stuff when it's actually available to ship?

Sorry Mark, I was merely disappointed earlier. Now I'm actually pissed off that our stuff was held so that US backers wouldn't get hurt feelings. Just send stuff when it's ready to go.

I hear you.... All I can do at this point is send them out when the container leaves for the US. Small consolation and a huge missed opportunity. Very frustrating to say the least.

If it makes anybody feel better, I'm in Texas and have not received any email notifications yet. Then again, my shipment will be pretty big (6 boxes of stormtroopers, 6 boxes of support weapons, 1 leviathan, plus extras) so maybe they're being shipped in order of smallest package to largest?

I don't think that's it. My last name starts with a W and I've got my tracking #.

Actually, your promptly investigating, finding out the issue, and posting an update addressing it in response to a forum poster's concerns make me even MORE impressed with Dreamforge.

It's definitely a hiccup, but your attention to backers continues to be top notch, even as you work through mistakes like that. So cheers, and keep it up

Indeed: Mark, it's quite clear that this is not what you intended, and your continuing attention is incomparably superior to the (regrettably low) standard of post-campaign attention of other major companies.

Yep, for all my annoyances with the situation, I do have to give Mark full credit for being open, honest and communicative. Hopefully the next batch (and forthcoming ones from future KS) can go with "when it's done" instead of "timetabled around US backers."

Perhaps just a simple line in the notes of the next KS along the lines of this:
"Due to shipping costs and logistical efficiency, orders to some locales in the world may be sent directly from our manufacturers in China rather than via the US. This may result in some backers located in some parts of the world receiving their pledge rewards before others."
