Yeah I my old demons were pretty much Khorne and Tzeentch. I played a pink and red list. I loved soul grinders too. Anyhow I decided to make the worst possible demon list ever. Here it is. It totally sucks. I plan on playing it this weekend. I am hoping it takes longer than 2 turns to table me. I may even post a battle report, or a whine about how OP my opponents army is. I haven't decided yet.
1500 Pts - Chaos Daemons Roster
1 Bloodthirster, Lesser Rewards x1 Greater Rewards x2
1 Lord of Change, Lesser Rewards x1 Greater Rewards x2 Psyker (Mastery Level 3)
1 Soul Grinder, Phlegm Bombardment Daemon of Nurgle
1 Soul Grinder, Phlegm Bombardment Daemon of Nurgle

12 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch

This list is actually pretty solid aside from being light on troops.
(Expect to be hitting yourself with your warpstorm a lot)

It actually doesn't seem that terrible, Nurgle Soul Grinders are a solid choice, and the MCs might end up being a real pain for your opponent with some lucky rolls on the Greater Rewards table. The only issues I see are the Lesser Rewards, that table is mostly trash, except for Etherblades, which are kinda redundant on MCs. I'm also not a fan of Pink Horrors. My preferred troop choice are the Deamonettes for their rending, with Bloodletters being a close second for their more reliable ap3.

I think I have 20 demonette roaming around in my boxes so where. I have 40 bloodletters because like I said I played pretty much TZ/K list in the last edition plus the grinders. What makes me most sad about the new Demons codex is the Bloodcrushers are so bad now, I have 9 of them plus a herald on jug. My plan with the horrors was to just keep them in reserve and DS them to objectives guarded by grinders or off in the non-confronted areas of the board.
The other models I have not mentioned in the list are the blood crushers, demonettes, 3 screamers, 6 flamers, a GUO and a KOS. Not a broad collection by any means. I do need to get a skill cannon or two.
The lesser reward is for a second axe of khorne for a bonus attack on the BT and on the LOC it was for a SoC to partner up with the mutating warp blade for an extra attack. I hope to roll at least one FNP 4+ between the two of them.
On second thought the lesser on the BT sucks because I will probably be using a greater to get Rampage with the blade of blood. Hmm.

Are you trolling? Because this is quite a strong Daemon list.

Maybe a little, but mostly I just hate the new demons dex. This is what I will be playing tomorrow, I haven't played it yet. Seems like a very low model count for 1500, and like it would be very easy to say knock these guys out of the sky and just bolter them to death. We will see.

The list seems quite good actually. Just sit the soul grinders in cover and with the shrouded bonus from MoN they will probably survive for a long time. Also, you said you had demonettes, bloodletters and bloodcrushers. All of these are good (well, the bloodcrushers aren't quite as durable as before, but they still have their place). Consider using the bloodcrushers with an icon to outflank while you have your two MCs trying to take most of the attention. They can then allow the bloodletters to deep strike without any scatter. You could do the same for the demonettes although they'll still scatter D6, which still helps.
Not to derail the point of the thread, but I would argue Bloodcrushers are still a good choice, if not a "glass cannon" kind of unit. They generally seem to require Karanak with them now (which isn't fun to think of something that HAS to go with a unit) since he provides scout to the unit and the rage loci, all while being a pretty intense beast himself. With Karanak you could usually move up the board quickly and by turn 2 get a charge. Plus with the rage rule and the furious charge they have from MoK it means they each have 5 attacks at S6 AP3 on the charge, plus they are WS5. Charge a unit of marines and watch them cry. Now of course, there still is the trouble of getting them to their target but plan ahead, make the best use of cover and throw the MCs out there to distract your opponent (big scary models tend to have that effect). They may be fragile, but they certainly have a devastating charge. Its very statistically likely that just a unit of 4 on the charge will wipe out a 10 man tactical squad in the first turn. All I'm saying is don't be to quick to resign them to the shelf. They still are pretty decent, but its up to you to see if they fit your needs.

interesting idea, but scouts can't charge first turn, or can't charge first player turn?
