Hi! My name is Jarrad I'm 29 and I'm a Chaos 40k player. I'm an avid fan of painting, converting, crushing the hopes and spirits of my enemies, and turning their armies into ash and molten slag. Warhammer has been a huge part of my life since I was in secondary school. I started off, like most second born brothers, (I generalise) having my posteroir handed to me week after week using the vanilla orks from the boxed set of 4th edition, that we got for christmas. I was quite young and didn't honestly understand all the rules, my brother was older and took advantage of that.... I bought, well dad bought a huge army of Eldar for me, which looking back probably was a complete violation of the force organisation chart. I grew a great love of the Eldar from the incredibly revered archaic game of Space Crusade!!

Then for some reason, Our tastes changed and we began to play Warhammer I think our inspiration was probably between playing Hero Quest with our cousin, and looking at the amazing diorama's created by Mike Mcvey when he was in the "Eavy Metal" team. Years flew past and although my brother lost interest in playing the games, I continued to paint, and convert the miniatures. For a few years, I myself stopped largely due to a MMO that everyone dabbled in (again generalising).
Until a few years ago... My brother starts up a dialogue about the 40k game and how the dynamics have changed and that, the models have greatly improved on the whole. So I started to research, and found that, the old niche that captured and held my imagination all those years ago had now bloomed into summer time garden of wonder! Though I believe I'm quite a good painter, I know that there is always more to learn, and there is always a greater level of detail that you can achieve. I've subscribed to many of the painting tutors on Youtube. I've gone from being a novice to having some real depth of skill. From joining this forum, which has been very helpful to me in the past, from general tactics, and questions that I've found useful in game. I wish to share in your knowledge and help people if I can, and inturn improve my own knowledge.
