New person, WHAT A SHOCK! Chose the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) as my army. Always happy to receive tips, especially if they're painting tips on painting armor without an air brush.

Drive closer! I want to hit them with my sword!

Welcome to DakkaDakka

Well with Astra Militarum, you could choose any colour scheme and form your own army if wanted, but if not, most common is the Cadian with their medium tone of green armour and dirty cream like clothing.

Hope you enjoy your time here and learn many new things

Welcome to Dakka!

For advice on how to go about painting your tanks without airbrushing, why not start a thread in the painting forum. =D You can get lots of good tips there.

Thanks for the kind welcomes! I'll try to visit more often. It's really the only place I can go to for a legitimate discussion on things.

We go for the eyes.
Then the tongue.
Then the hands.
Then the feet
Then we skin the crippled remains.
