I have yet to loose a game and while I was learning how to play I had some close wins but now I am just slaying all before me.

Everyone plays infantry lists here, so I always attack at dawn. I am vastly outnumbered by my enemies even though they usually have a similar troop status to mine.

I place an objective as far from theirs as possible out in the open, place my whole army on that flank and rush it. 2 Platoons of infantry backed by 4 HMG upgraded to the max with banners etc supported by 5-7 light tanks and 2 light guns. The night keeps me alive and by turn 2-3 I am pushing off the resistance on my objective before reinforcements arrive. Sometimes they arrive but they merely delay my victory.

Ambushes arent effective enough to stop my advance as I place my men in a way that prevents ambushing from cover (as often as possible). Air support and spotting fails because of night rules and I simply pin and assault the defenders.

If they try put their whole force to cover the objective I am gonna rush I simply go for the other one and leave my tanks to halt them from trying to retreat to the other objective.

I have tried defending sometimes but then we roll the map thats even on both sides (both times) but I dont particularly want to defend if I can help it.

I entered a tournament to try find some foes worthy enough to face me but I kinda fell like my army is very superior to that of my enemies. I hardly ever break, run or falter in any moral situation. Pinning me is hard as it is. I have a lot of firepower (concentrated though) so pinning is a breeze. Getting into combat has always been easy and I think I failed once but succeeded my second attempt after another round of fire.

Is it the army or are my opponents just not up to my level? Does anyone else have this problem? If so how do you even the odds?

This sounds very haughty but its not meant to sound that way.

It's because they are in awe and distracted by your amazing counters and objectives. : )

Seriously though I am surprised to see that you are facing so many infantry lists. Around here it is about 75% armor and the infantry lists are usually Russian hordes. Have you tried prearranging opponents that will use armor lists so you can see how they perform? The flip side of this could be that you have a solid list, you understand the army and it's tactics and that you are actually good with them. We have a guy here that is practically unbeatable in mid-war with his Russians.

Yea mate, way nicer than the paper we used to use haha. Very helpful

Well I am the only player that owns tanks asides form the German player who only has 3 Stugs (which I can only kill in assault). I faced tanks once with the starter set but other than that Tanks are rare here. Even the tournament looks to be a lot of infantry and cavalry with a few tanks here and there.

I dont have enough experience to compare lists etc yet. I just feel like for everything my enemy throws at me I have some rule or ability that gives me a counter. When I print my lists from Easy Army they are a few pages longer than everyone elses with far less units!

I have not looked at the Japanese so I am not that familiar with them but against infantry you will be fairly tough. Lots of troops, MGs, light tanks to add firepower, etc.

If you run up against armor I think you will see that swing the other way. The light tanks have little armor and pop like pop corn against heavier AT guns or medium sized armor.

For EW a force of Russians with artillery could wreck havoc. Equal or greater numbers. Pinning from long range with artillery. Decent armor to throw at you. Your biggest advantage is going to be the night fighting ability. It effectively lets you negatate most armies advantages.

Night fighting reduces firepower for sure. But one platoon of infantry auto passes moral tests so pinning isnt a huge issue for half my army. Plus I need +1 hit from all weapon types to be pinned (has saved me a lot). Provided night keeps me a live it is very hard to stop my advance, even a failed company moral check doesnt mean I have lost, it simply means I HAVE TO CHARGE etc.

To beat me you have to kill all of my men or hold the objective.

Against an all tank list I have no idea what to expect. But I also havent really got much in the way of anti tank either.

Maybe I am just superior with so few armoured units against me. Even anti tank guns have a rough time with my faster tanks. I am starting to use cheaper slow tanks and they may not have the same luck.

As a trial have someone run an armor list. Use proxy models if you have to. That will give you a better feel for how well rounded it is.

Do you know of any early war lists that doesnt require too many tanks? It would make proxying a lot easier.

I have never played a game of EW so I am not the person to ask on that. Hopefully one of the EW players can chime in and answer for you.

German mittler panzers don't require many tanks. If you're looking for a real challenge try playing someone running just an absolute cheesy list (e.g. 30+ T-26). My two cents, the lack of tanks is what's allowing you to stomp everyone, especially if you're the only one using them. How many points do you play at?

Well my 5-7 tanks with armour one in theory should suffer to stugs and pak guns So maybe its their lack of armoured vehicles?

I play at 1450, german guy is at 1580 ish. Finnish is as 1450 as well.
