Hiya,

This is a question about the CMA for the daughters.

I know I could, if all 6 got into combat with one model, make 2 CMA's with all six to give a +6 bonus thanks to their double attacks each.

I was wondering If i could combine each one instead, to make a single CMA using both attacks from all six to give me a +12 bonus?

Thanks!

No, each model can only give one attack at a time. +6 is the cap.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

I don't actually think you could get 2 CMA's at +6.

A model contributing to a CMA does so by giving up its attack action, not by giving up an attack. Only the lead figure making the attack gains all of it's initial attacks: the supporting figures don't get to make their own attack action, so they don't get any initial attacks.

So the most you could get is 2 CMAs, one at +3 (lead attacker making attack #1 with 2 supporting figures), and one at +4 (lead attacker making attack #2 with 3 supporting figures).

No, page 62 of Prime MkII:

Troopers capable of multiple melee attacks can divide them among eligible targets and participate in multiple combined melee attacks.

Well, that's a rule that breaks itself: The earlier part of the rule says the contributing figures lose their attacks. I guess they mean to say they lose that attack used to add to the CMA.

Yup I got caught out by the before as well, I think you are right in what they meant to say, you just don't get to stack other special effects of each attack.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I'll eventually know what I'm doing

The attack contributed to the CMA is lost.

So yes, you could do 2 big CMAs with +6.

You could not do one big CMA at +12.

Units with CMA(or CRA) do not follow the general rule that one models combat action must end before another member of the unit makes its combat action.

You can definitely waterfall CMA attacks.

That not bad, and should autohit any jack (excluding 1,1) and then usually -4/-6 from a damage roll.

And then do it again

Combine with a big charge and acrobatics to get more models in close... maybe with carnage cast on them as well to an extra damage buff....

Now if I can just get that in without them getting squished

Daughters shouldn't be attacking warjacks. They should only be hitting living models really.
