It literally was just the ability to set up a playlist and have modifiers, wasn't it?
Uh, I don't think so? You started off with your home planet, opponent controlled the Galaxy. Conquer a planet once, it goes neutral, twice it goes under your control. Each planet had a bonus that could be used in a battle. I dunno, I enjoyed that mode immensely. I rarely played online.

I was thinking of Instant Action initially, had to fire up BF2 on my PC to get a refresher.
Yeah, Galactic Conquest was cool and all but I'm not sure why it being gone is such a dealbreaker for people.
There might be a possibility for them to add the mode in DLC as well. They added modes to BF4, IIRC. Would probably be a later one though, once there are a bunch more maps.
Now, I don't know what your guys opinion's on the way EA/DICE's DLCs work, but I'd expect to see 6 or so (maybe more), with new maps, weapons, vehicles, gamemodes, ect.

IIRC there isn't a class system so much as a build your own class system. It's probably going to be something along the line of each slot is a different type of item, or some sort of each item is worth a differnt # of x, and you can only have Y x.

That's speculation that keeps cropping up alongside of the silly table.
As it stands though, we've definitely been seeing what appear to be "premade" classes.
That's three times now that a Rebel Trooper equipped with jump packs have been showcased as being a kind of "anti-vehicle" class, while the rest have footslogged it across the battlefields.
The split-screen/offline coop versus AI was added so that parents could feel comfortable playing the game with their kids or allowing their kids to play it.
Since it's a DICE game, there's not really going to be much in the way of gore so this might get a lot of families purchasing nextgen consoles.

indeed. And as someone who doesn't maintain a permanent Xbox Live subscription, it's good to know I'll still be able to play the game in periods when I'm not online (the reason I bought neither Destiny nor Titanfall, despite liking the look of both).
Anyone else notice the melee attack in there? I know it's kind of a given these days, but it was painfully absent from the old BF games.
Despite Dice getting abuse from time to time the bf3 coop missions were fun. Op exodus and exfiltration were damn good with a buddy to play with. Im glad they've done them here, something I really missed from bf4.
