Anyone else disappointed that there don't appear to be corridor, small and large room tiles? I hope the map isn't just a differently decorated big open space each game.

I think there are. You can see in the picture what appears to be 2x3
or 2x5 room/corridor. Not certain though.

Like what I see there so far. Would like it to be 100 rather than 125, but I think I will probably get it anyway. Looking forward to a clearer look at the models.

Are the b ad boys supposed to be all chaos-y? That's less appealing to me.

At least it's cheaper than Deathwatch, isn't it? I was fully prepared for a 175€ sticker shock after the 34€ Megaboss.

Has anybody done a full model countper enemy type from the big pic? I'm on mobile and can see...pixels

In the leaked box contents pic, if you look to the right of the priest, it appears there is a tzeentch chaos warrior in black armor, and the magnus the red type ogre guy from the cover art behind him.

Looks to be about the same size as the new pink horrors which makes those huge, ogre Sized models. Awesome if Tzeentch gets ogre, human and swarm sized horrors. Really cool idea and hopefully it gets brought over to daemon armies in the future.

Edit: ogre sized may be a stretch, but definitely on 40mm bases.

Squinting really hard I think I see four legs and two arms as well on the little buggers. Interesting.

I've seen NOTHING on Atia's blog suggesting that, so...he's full of crap.

Because they're Skaven, you can see that pretty clearly without needing to squint.

The ones on the right do seem to have bifurcated arms. I'm guessing the cluster of four hunched shapes on the left side are the illusions the Assassin summons.

Edit: Scratch they appear to be the exact same models, just pictured from the other side.

Do you think that there is any chance of this being available to buy at Warhammer Fest? I know it is a week before the official release but the GW website will be accepting pre orders the minute the Fest doors open.

Has there been any news as to whether this will be a limited release? I want to put money aside for it rather than having to scramble.

No news about that; but I would be REALLY surprised if it were. They haven't done any of the other recent board games as "limited release".

The original WHQ was/is my favorite game GW ever put out. So, they have my attention.

But the models alone haven't caught my interest yet. I'm just not a fan of the GW aesthetic since End Times/AoS.

So, I'll keep paying attention until we learn more about the rules. I want to know if the game is as expandable as the old WHQ was, or if its a one-shot. I also want to know if the monsters are still used in "roll 2d6 for monsters, put 'em on the board, and the heroes cut through them." At today's prices, I can't afford to build up a bestiary like I could back when 2 or 3 $5 blisters got you 1d6 of monsters.

As much as I'd like to see a new WHQ in all its glory, times have changed and GW is going to have to prove to me they're going to do this right.

Well, if you use Reaper Bones you might be able to put together a healthy bestiary.

I haven't been this interested in a GW release in a LONG time.

Pre-orders, maybe. Doubt they'll be handing out copies at Fest though. It's pretty much unknown territory in the Age of Rountree now, so who knows?Maybe they will!

I would have to split it with someone to buy this, so I suppose I'd have an opponent.

Wow, looks awesome. That's definitely a buy for me.

Love the models, and excited for the game. If the game is great, I may buy 2 copies so that I can have one set of gaming models and one set for the showcase.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

As usual, I've very little interest in the game, so we'll have to see about the models.

I'll reserve judgement on most of it until we get good pictures, but from what we can see the Chaos stuff seems most appealing. Sadly, the Warrior Priest evidently confirms that the size of the Bloodreavers was not "because Chaos" but the new scale for human AoS models, which bodes rather ill for the future of the Empire range.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal
