Having used the site for a while, I now realise that when I attach pictures to my posts in the forum, they end up in my gallery, but how does this work?
Do all attachments end up in the gallery, or are they moderated? If they all end up in there, can I remove some from the gallery without destroying my threads?

Only pics attached in certain sections (P&M, for the most part, I believe) get added to the gallery.

I believe that if you delete them from the gallery, they would come up as a broken link, but not 100% sure on that.

You can move them around into different folders without affecting anything on the forum, though.

Nope, the gallery versions are distinct from the attachment versions.

Its only if a user has manually gone and changed their attachment to a direct link to the gallery image (so then people could click on the image to go to it in the gallery) would then deleting the gallery image create a dead link.

Ah, that's good. There are definitely some pics in my gallery that no one would want to look at if they were searching the gallery! Good to know I can delete them.
