Blows my mind the amount of people who'll be there playing 40K.
What with GWs involvement with the LVO and also GW returning Throne of Skulls to the old heats/final format here in the UK, it's got me excited about tournaments again. So good to have GW embracing the tournament community.

Went and entered what will be my first tournament in a few years off the back of all the positivity. Can't wait and hopefully I can persuade my better half a trip from the UK to Vegas in 2018 is a good idea.

No sir, there is not.

The West Aussies are coming! At least 2 (potentially up to 4!) of us are making the (VERY 30+hours !) long trip from Perth to Las Vegas for this event! 40k for me, 30k for my one confirmed and booked mate. Going to be a freaking epic gaming week for us!

My buddy even has his birthday on day 1 of LVO!

OK, so the 40k champs is about to sell out...again! After GW asked us to up the cap, we are very pleased to say we're approaching 500, lol, so crazy!

But, that means we're also down about 30 tickets left!

30k champs is down to the teens, less than 20 left (approaching 100!)

40k Friendly has 4 spots left.

40k Apoc has 6 spots left.

AoS Champs has 10 spots left (also approaching 100!).

Make sure to grab your hotel room, soon if you have not done so! After December, our room rate will not be held any longer and prices may go up. Also, the hotel is likely to fill up as it is Super Bowl weekend.

So please don't wait on those hotel rooms.

Any clue if there will there be any tables available on the 2nd for practice/meetup games?

Reece, with attendance practically doubling, was there any consideration to expanding the qualifying player pool from 8 to16?

Logistically, it's one more game you would need to fit in and that game could have potentially kicked off after round 6 on Saturday night at 7:30.

I'm sure it's easier said than done but just thought to ask considering the surge in attendance and the chance for more players to earn glory.

I wouldn't think those qualifying players would mind playing an additional game, just food for thought for 2018.

The 2nd we will be running around like mad men and women setting everything up, so unfortunately no, no gaming that day. At least, not in the main halls.

We'd love to do that but the problem is that it takes 4 rounds of play to resolve a sweet 16 down to a single champion. If 40k didn't take so long to play a game as it does now, we could totally do that but at present with essentially 3 hour rounds and a deadline to close shop on Sunday it isn't practical.

We ran only 5 rounds way back when for the main group of players but a lot of folks felt like they wanted to play that 6th round, so we gave everyone what they asked for =)

If we get an edition role-over and the game speeds up in play (a man can dream, right?!) then yeah, we are 100% open to the idea.
