Hey Guys!!! New to this forum (obvi) and new to 40k, been playing Warhammer Fantasy for the last 3-4 years and want to venture out and get into some epic 40k battles. I have a small Dark Angel force at the moment that i am really enjoying painting (badly) so far. I will definitely be looking for helps in building an army list and figuring out what models i need to buy as i am completely lost when it comes to 40k. Anyways looking forward to posting on this forum, Thanks guys!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks guys! I definitely will be asking questions. We just ordered our Codex's and are going to try and have a small 1000 point game this weekend. Maybe lol

What armies? I'd assume CSM and DA, from the starter kit, but you never know.

Dark Angels for myself, i didnt start with the starter kit, started with a Venerable Dreadnought, Drop Pod and a box of Deathwing Knights. But i did also buy the starter set so i have that stuff as well.

Also have a CSM, Necron and Tau player that all started at the same time. We literally all have our codex's coming in the mail this week but have NO clue how to build lists, thats one of the biggest things im looking for help with haha. Using what i got i want to try and make a small 1000-1500 point list just to get the rules down.

I've got the CSM and Necron Codecs, so I can help your buddies with that.

You'll have to find other people to aid in your DA or Tau, though.
