Guys... the biggest revelation is still that this info all came direct from Games Workshop. I'm still largely speechless at their turning around of social media presence from 'absent' to 'mini-stars in Rob and Duncan'.

The Eldar (and the Dark Eldar) do have an interest in keeping the Imperium propped up. So it's not too crazy a possibility.

Or it could just be a retainer of the Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Typically, unless it's within their area of responsibility, an Inquisitor doesn't really care too much.

Some of them even want the IoM to fall, so that it would stop doing all the idiotic things they do. I would love it if they brought that back.

Oh yeah, it does seem like they are travelling into a webway portal, damn the Chaplain is not going to be happy when those boys get back to the cruiser.

Assuming 8th doesn't stunt any armies the way Sigmar did to Fantasy, it'll definitely offer up good reasons for more contention amongst "good" and "evil" armies. Fair enough, but my point is that the whole thing was built with human tech, something that's hardly going to be compatible with xeno solutions, even if the subject matter is similar.

Unless of course it's not about making sure the Throne does not fail and instead about making sure it finally works as intended. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Emperor ascending.

Wasn't the Emperor working on access to the webway using irreplaceable alien tech that Magnus destroyed with his peekaboo into the palace?

I thought that project was meant to be a separate, human controlled webway that shared the principle of web travel, but not the existing infrastructure?

Regarding your spoiler, you do realize that it was about
Spoiler:
the Sisters of Silence
right? It pretty clearly referred to a
Spoiler:
warrior order, not a single being
and it even has an artwork of one on the very next page just to make it all the more obvious.

Anyway, I'm not sure if that artwork is a sign of full Dark Eldar involvement alongside the Imperium or if it is just some kind of retainer or advisor for one of the new characters. Of all the Chapters to be found allying with xenos for any reasons, Black Templars are one of the most unlikely surely? Desperate times I guess...

it appearse that saint celestine gets a new model, so she most likely will get printed rules. So a new codex seems very likely

It says it right in the video that St. Celestine's rules are in the Fall of Cadia book. Explains her not being in C:IA, perhaps with her two not Seraphim (I heard on B&C they were called Gemini???) they are a formation or two from the FoCadia book?

Doesn't necessarily mean a new Codex or anything else for that matter. We should try not to turn this into OMG fifteen new boxes of plastics Sisters!!!! GW did just repackage and re-release the metal ones less than a week ago. New FoCadia book, new Celestine and twins kit(s), rumor confirmed that a plastic SoB kit will be released in January.

Apart from the three models, that just means SoB players have to drag around more than one book to have all their rules. Yay we get to join the club! All I see for my SoB so far is the chance to use some of my Seraphim superiors with power weapons again for counts as Gemini (if thats what those two are called).

That Inquisitor though, she wrecks me, gorgeous model.

Now give me my SoB tactical cards!!!!

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...

Also the "rules for everyone to use" sounds suspicious to me. I wouldn't be surprised if we are going to get a preview of 8th Edition rules in this book ala End Times Archaon which introduced formations/battalions to Warhammer Fantasy months before Age of Sigmar hit.

So according to the recent HH book Emperor of Mankind:
Spoiler:
The Big E. patched into the webway using a Martian copy of the webway tech. to attach Terra into the nearest bit of Webway. Magnus warning the Big E. broke the wards that were protecting the webway and allowed both Demons, Titans and Tratior legions into the webway. The Big E. then used up much of the Custodies, Silent Sisters and Terra bound Mechanicum fighting them off from reaching Terra while the Big E. tried to keep the remaining wards in place from the Golden Throne. The Big E. was fixated with not losing the webway, as soon as he gave up all hope and turned off the gateway on Terra he said he had lost the war he had been fighting against the Chaos Gods to protect Mankind from the Warp by using the Webway as seemingly living space for Mankind.

I'm a bit confused by the Celestine kit, is like a larger blister with 3 models instead of 1? What is the point of her bodyguard? Does that mean she isn't an IC and can't join another unit?
So is she basically 3 WS4 S3 T3 I3 Seraphim? Has her 3W been turned into 2 other models that die before she does?

The odd thing it's that the Eldar with the inquisitor don't give a strong vibe about being fully dark Eldar, the way the helmet and the right shoulders are designed reminds me of a shinning spear.

Maybe it's Drastanta their Phoenix Lord who's been gone since Asurmen died for 1st time. (after all is the end of times and all Phoenix lord must die according to the Rhana Dhandra)

It may have different rules like the conclave of burning one from the necros, having etra saves or fnp while her bodyguards are around , even different stats.

I'm pretty sure they said no re-release of codexes before 8th. So a sisters codex isn't likely till after the new edition. The Codex: Imperial Agents wasn't really anything of the sort, just a place to lump a bunch of different previously unprinted items into print. Campaign books and story advancement are coming but we're not supposed to get new codexes until the new edition.

Overall though the models for this look superb.

No, the Emp's plan was always to use the old one constructed webway.

Magnus was to sit on the Golden Throne on Terra as a sort of intergalatic airport controller, but one who could journey off and see/go pretty much anywhere using remote viewing/astral travel/etc etc .

Unfortunately this inbuilt curiosity led him down other pathways first of all....

.. which led to him breaching the webway portal in the Palace and , almost literally, unleashing hell there.

So the Emperor sent Russ to Prospero to bring Magnus back -- so he could be sat on the throne to stave off the daemonic assault...

.. but Horus/pride/anger --combination of all of them -- instead set Russ to kill Magnus, thus keeping the Emperor occupied.

Gathering Storm – First Look

The Eye of Terror is about to open and unleash a tide of darkness, Daemons and traitors into an already beset Imperium. Against the unified might of the Traitor Legions stand the heroes of the Cadian Gate, who will stop at nothing to drive back the Gathering Storm.

The scene is set for the most epic narrative in the history of the 41st Millennium – a fitting celebration of 30 years of Warhammer 40,000 and a great way to kick off the next 30 years of grim darkness in the far future.

The Gathering Storm begins with the epic events detailed in the Fall of Cadia – available for pre-order on January 7th.

The miniatures accompanying the first Gathering Storm book represent a few of the factions that stand against the Legions of Chaos, including: our first plastic Inquisitor miniature, the huge and hunched form of an ancient Archmagos Dominus, and the angelic Saint Celestine, resurrected (or possibly, saved from the dust bin) leading the Imperium’s armies.
