Heres what i got for my tau: OLD PICTURES

Just some work on my tau sept. This is by far NOT the entire army, Just segments that i wanted to show off here . Once every thing is painted i will post a full screen shot of them. Until then enjoy these pictures:

Shas’el Bork’an J’Kaara’Por (Mirror Water)
“Ninja tau” Cadre
Bork'an Sept

The "Parade ground / Deployment zone" (think ending of Star wars Ep.2 with all the clones getting on the ships) was a idea of mine that i wanted to try. So i stole took my moms materials from her projects around the house and made my own area for my models to rest on when they arent being shot up. C&C welcome plus any ideas for the deployment zone would be welcome also!
Please Ignore the Human Gue'vesa, They have since been transformed into tanith for my IG army

My tau are going to war: What does this mean? The cadre is getting painted up and off R&R back to fight for the Great Good. Also this means that this blog will be picking back up and with it , battle reports on my conquest of the world Malachite

+++Planetary Data+++

Planet name: Malachite

Planet type: Mining world

Population: Approx. 30 billion

Capital: Natron City

Planetary Governor: Brandor Thayon

Satellites: Three Moons- Barite, Galena and St. Celestine.

Barite is a clay covered moon inhabited solely by orkoid species. A large fortress is the dominating feature on the otherwise barren landscape.

Galena is little more than a massive chunk of Adamantium. It is surmised that it originally broke off from malachite millions of years ago from the area where the quarry is now located.

St. Celestine is a large shipping hub and store house. It is from here that all of the raw material leaves for its final destination.

Economy: Malachite’s economy is based around it mining operations. As the most ore rich planet within 150 light years it is a wealthy and prosperous world. The wealth however is not distributed evenly. 93% of the population lives below the poverty line.

Religion: Primarily Imperial Cult.

Background:

The mining world of Malachite is located in the galactic east, in the Ultima Segmentum. It is a crucial asset to the surrounding systems, supplying countless tons of precious raw materials for the manufacturing of weapons, vehicles, and defenses. Not only would the loss of Malachite doom its entire system, but the loss of its resources would send the nearby forge worlds grinding to a halt.

Such was the case during the first ork invasion. Warlord Gutkicka launched a massive WAAGH soon after mining operations were established. The resulting war cost the lives of the entire mining force and only ceased due to the timely intervention of the late Great Wolf Oberik Kelman and the Space Wolves.

Unfortunately, once established on a planet, orcs are very difficult to eradicate completely; feral tribes still roam the wilder parts of Malachite, and the moon of Barite has become a wasteland filled with green skins. Fortunately, they proven to be a mere annoyance rather than an actual threat as they have only the most basic technology – until recently.

The local orcs have been driven into a frenzy by the appearance of Warlord ‘Ace Smasha and his WAAGH. His forces have taken Barite and constructed a massive fortress, Da Big ‘Ouse, and with their ample supply of weapons and armor it seems another war is inevitable.

In response to the amassing orks, a pact made long ago has been called upon. Rushing to defend Malachite as his predecessors once did is none other than Logan Grimnar, Great Wolf of the mighty Space Wolf chapter. Along with the Astartes, the Imperial forces of the Fenrisian Guard speed to join in the defense of the besieged world under the command of Rangar Blackmane- named in honor of Wolf Lord Ragnar Blackmane.

Far darker forces may await the armies of the Imperium, however. A large Tyranid Splinter Fleet, code named Levictus , has suddenly changed course and has now begun drifting towards Malachite. Rumors have it that Eldar raiders have been luring them to populated worlds, and exploiting the ensuing chaos as a distraction to commit their heinous slave hunts with minimal resistance.

The tyranids in turn are being pursued by a sizable Tau hunter cadre from the Bork’an sept led by Shas’el Bork’an J’Kaara’Por better known as Commander MirrorWater. Whether the Eldar pirates or the Tyranids are their quarry remains to be seen.

Another player may be taking part in this galactic cat and mouse chase however. An unidentified battleship has been seen drifting just outside the tau’s long range detection radius, biding its time. Inquisitorial sources have reported its point of origin may have been from the area around the Maelstrom.

Yet the worst enemy may hail from Malachite itself, for in ancient times it was not called Malachite but Canopurana, the heart of a mighty dynasty. With the constant mining, the ancient evil deep within the earth is beginning to awaken.

And so a perfect storm is brewing around the world of Malachite. How the battle will unfold still remains to be seen.

The ork wave had been pushed back, and the fuel station was held for now. Both Team Blue and Team Red had given their lifes for the Tau Empire. The lone Shas'la that had run from Red squad had been handed off to the Etherals for motivational purposes.

Commander Mirrorwater looked around the wreck. Comrades and greenskin bodies lay everywhere. Marching throughout the battlefield, Mirrowater popped shots into any orks still moving and then finally once the reinforcements had signaled the all clear moved his forces back into the rear of the station ,sealing off the ork side. The Rok had hit the station causing a endless wave of orks to overrun it. The tau now knew they were facing a loosing battle against the greenskins. Mirrorwater hit his com, then signaled the drone to reach across the system to the Aun. While the news would be good, the victory had cost many lifes, and Mirrorwater was sure it would be foretold in ages to come as "for the greater good" but right now, all he wanted to do was rest. The time on Bork'an had been nice and relaxing, now the death and warfare was getting to him again. It would only be a matter of time before the Aun figured out his true alleigences and sent someone after his cadre. Yet, for now the taste of victory was upon him. Firing up his thrusters, Mirrorwater headed back to the center command station within the fuel depot.

For Our Campgian , the rules for the fuel station stated that ANY unit could capture the center point and hold it. It would be determine by the number of units holding it that would be deciding the victor
