Hey this is my first post here and my first W40k drawings in many years, please give comments, I will be doing some posed drawings after I get back into it and relearn the form for Space Marines etc.

I really like these drawings, although the proportions seem a little out (legs+shoulders on the marine), still they are really good.

Yeah, on the marine I went for more of a Horus Heresy descriotion on the proportions, so taller, longer of the leg and broader chest, I also followed with the Custodian the rule that they are taller and more naturally proportioned than a marine (Genetically enhanced on a singular level, not mass produced like marines)

But thanks for the advice, will play around with the ratios a bit when I do my next drawing.

They're a good start, but try doing some at a 3/4 view rather than a dead on frontal . It'll help you with depth and form more, as your current ones have a more flat appearance. Also, don't draw on lined paper.

Those drawings are pretty good! The only thing I see is the Bolt Pistol could be a tad larger.

A critique? try putting them in action poses or 3 quarter views for much more drama/action. Its easier with the space marines because they are basic shapes to start with.

Hey all, this is a WIP/ trial sketch of Horus Warmaster and Primarch of Sons of Horus. As you can see it is very much unfinished, but the top middle down to the knee joint is that oart I worked the most on!
