Hey Everybody!

Since its May the fourth, I'm finally starting a blog about my 40k episode II star wars miniatures..

Started this project about 1.5 years ago but never really pulled it trough. I just couldnt find the right codex to count-as my models.
But then the Grey Knight codex got released, and it was absolutely perfect for it!

I got inspired by this french guy from the Frenchwaaaghday:

(not my models)

Instead of Eldar Guardians I used the now old Dark Eldar warrior bodies with Eldar guardian heads and intensive converting.

Here are the results:

ARC troopers:

On to the painting part.
I used an off-white for the base coat so that I could still add an highlight to the models.
And I couldn't sculpt the T-visor in the helmet, so I chose to freehand it on every model instead.

Painted troopers: (They will count as Warrior Acolytes obviously)

These models were photographed in a photo tent i bought this afternoon including the lights.
I must say it turned out pretty well if you ask me

Another big inspiration for this project is the Star Wars animated series from Genndy Tartakovski's Clone Wars:

So let me know what you guys think, C&C welcome as always and have a happy May the fourth!

Sweet Army.

Kudos.

You've gone for more conversions than I did (mine consisted of making up batch of T-visor helmets for my marines, kama for the sternguard (Arc Troopers) and some other little bits for vet sgts.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Thanks. I know there weren't blue marked troopers in AotC, but still I really needed to break up the white with something.

They're all gonna have blue markings, except for Fordo! Yeah he's going to be included.

Very impressive!

The Tick: Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

These are really awesome figures, you've really caught the flavor of the SW universe.

I second the request for a little tutorial if you end up making more Clone Troopers, I for one am really intrigued to see how you've done it.

Make that three requests. Those Clones are spot on. I enjoy the source you picked too. I preferred that Clone Wars version, as far as artwork goes.

I feel a Tutorial coming up soon! Let the requests come in.

Only problem is, I am lacking Eldar Guardian heads at the moment.. The bits order site I use are undergoing server changes or something, so they can't re-supply them (I bought all the ones that were left last time )

Instead I will use Clone pilot helmets. They are slightly different but most of the conversion is the same for the normal Clone helmets.

So if anyone has a good source where I can get around 8 Eldar guardian helmets, that would be very helpfull for getting this project finished before the end of October !

Oh my! Very cool stuff here.

I have just been plugging through the clone wars episodes two at a time and was really wanting to make an army of them myself! Of course, I probably would never have got round to it and after seeing yours I bet I could not do as good of a job anyway...

Interested to see how you get along with making the walkers and such I suppose there are models already out there, hopefully there are some of the right scale!.

Now finish that tutorial, I want to see it to the end.!
