Hello there Dakka. This is my first PM blog. I want to say it will just be about Nightlords but I've seen enough other threads say the same but eventually it goes from one army to another. So this blog will mainly revolve around Nightlords. I started out using them as rouge Nightlords who don't worship chaos and all the cliche stuff that soulhunter put into the fluff (which I love) but then something amazing happened. I stumbled upon the Dornian heresy. For the people who don't know what this is it's basically what would have happened if Horus never went traitor and all the loyalist chapters went traitor and the original traitors stayed loyalist. This really appealed to me because the Nightlords have been my favorite chapter since I was just a little kid, maybe it's their fluff, maybe its the color scheme, or maybe it's just because their badass primarch, I may never know. But anyways that is what this thread is going to be about. Unfortunately I have to wait to purchase most of the heresy era forgeworld parts so many of my marines will be set how the Nightlords are in the 41st millennium. All comments, advice, critique and everything in between will be appreciated. So thanks in advance Dakka.

1) HOLY SHET, THEM WINGS FOR THAT RAPTOR/LORD/WHATEVER, TELL ME HOW.
2) Ur bikers look a bit bland, maybe add more corspes, blood, grubbinz to them. Oh maybe get a box of tyrannid gargoyles and put their wings onto ur bikes.

Well Im running him as a sergeant for my asualt squad and well it was paper clips I bent together like that as a base then I used a glue gun to make the webbing and painted it up like that And thats just the start at the moment, I will be sure to take your advice to heart though

If they're Night Lord loyalists wouldnt Night Lords heraldry on regular marines make more sense? Less mutated and more made.

Alrighty then first update in a while due to some personal reasons. But anyways I took some of the advice and added more gore to my biker and such. Also to clarify the sergeants wings, I went to the approach that since the blood angels have the wings that decorate their jump packs so I dubbed the wings as something the artificers crafted for their jump Squads. And on the main note here is a my WIP of my captain I will be using, WIP rhino, and a WIP thousand sons I will be using as my librarian. All comments and suggestions are welcome and please excuse the low quality pics

Well Dakka its been a long time haha Anyways its been a very long time since i worked on anything warhammer related due to complications in my personal life. But finally everything has calmed down and I'm ready to jump back into the world of wargaming yet again So I wound up scratch building a titan recently since I got into the warhammer mood and stumbled upon a template for it and so I gave it a shot and here is what I wound up with. Any comments, opinions or feedback would be appriciated

Another quick update I made some inferno cannons and attached them. Ill be selling/ trading this hopefully and possibly making more and maybe just maybe some bigger titans soon

Well I shipped out the titans earlier today so no more titans for a bit haha But I did just regain my interest in necromunda again and I did a quick conversion of a cultist I had lying around. Didnt do too much to him yet. Just scratched out the chaos symbols on him and do a simple head swap, going to clean him up with green stuff, swap out his sword arm probably and green stuff a commisar sash for him. Probably going to have it tied on to his bicep or something.

So when I get home tonight Ill green stuff a sash on the commisar and fill in the rest of the chaos sigils. And i should be getting a package tomorrow with 45 more marines

Well I just got my delivery of 45 more marines today so expect some more posts about my nightlords finally

Okay one last update before I go to sleep. I sculpted some green stuff masks for most of my scouts and cleaned up my commissar model. So Ill probably get to work pn the scouts tomorrow and I have a crazy idea for some terrain for necromunda that I might build also

So not much going on but I built another titan. I also should be getting two contemptor dreadnoughts delivered tomorrow so I cant wait to get my hands on that. I also have been working on something else related to 40k thats not miniatures and I might post pics of that when its done

Well I decided to try my hand at Gitsplitta's make a mantis warrior competition. Here is my model so far. Ill be posting a description of it later tonight

As promised here is a description of the idea that I am going for with the mantis warrior.

So here's a couple of pics of my mock up mantis warrior so far. I had this idea that since they are on their one hundred year ling redemption crusade and they cannot replenish their ranks that the mantis warriors 10th company otherwise their scouting company is either mostly dead, the remaining scouts from the badab war are now pretty much veterans and taking on other roles or that most of the scouts gear would be totally wrecked by this point. Therefore I based my miniature on a veteran mantis warrior who was renowned for his marksmanship/ scouting abilities during his time as a both a vanguard vet and scout neophyte and has taken on the tradition duties of that typical of a scout such as sniping and recon. I also gave him several different marks of armor to show that he had to salvage whatever armor he could to keep his maintained. I also kit bashed a rifle like bolter to show that he has modified his trust old bolter to work in a more long ranged kind of way. Anyways this is just a quick mock up of the mini right now. I'll probably scale him up a bit and green stuff on a camo cloak as well.

Small update for today. I couldnt find my green stuff anywhere so I heated up a small piece of styrene and shaped it into a cloak. And on another note my replacement airbrush should be here soon so I can finally get started on my fire hawk army.

Alright guys I finally have a update. So I present a wip pic of Captain Corvo Ventris of the night lords 27th assault company. And I also have had a small descent into the realm of chaos. So here is a pic of the start of Typhus the traveller. As always all comments and critique are encouraged.

Well not exactly a wargaming update but I was at Barnes and Nobel today and I wound up buying my first horus heresy book Hoping to get some inspiration for a idea I have for a chaos warband I've been thinking about making.

Alright here is a update on typhus. I started painting up the smaller details and based him. Im probably going to work on the helmet some more but Im pretty happy with how he has turned out so far.
