Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Ok, on the steed, he's 1+/3++.
With 4 S6 attacks with re-rolls to hit, no armor saves.
On top of that he's a level 3.

Seems just a little cheap to me for 410 points.
S6 no save magic weapon is ~75 points.
3+ ward save should be around 60 points.
Level 3 wizard is ~105 points.
Then add in the barded steed and 1+ save (~40 points)
That leaves his stat line at 130 points.

I'd say bump his cost another ~30 points (prince stats with +1 WS). Maybe another 10 points for the bigger leadership bubble.

Otherwise, well done.

cheers for the advice, i kept his cost at 390 so that he would fit exactly into a 3k game on the dragon
edited, also figured i'd drop the dragon down to a moon one

which actually isn't as good as his current rules, which is 12 inch bubble ignoring panic
Karl Franz gets 24 inch on the dragon, so i figured, hey, why not Malekith too?

Pretty sure Malekith was an indifferent Mage at best pre finding the crown of sorcery. Morathi expresses surprise at his ability when he assaults Anlec to oust her in Shadow King. IIRC the crown of sorcery was a dark magic item as well so therefore wouldn't be fluffy for it to grant Malekith High Magic, would be better granting him Death or something.

My point still stands that having been less effective than a level 1 before finding it he could hardly master the purest form of magic in such a relatively short space of time through raw power alone. Much more fluffy that he gains access to a brb lore.
