This army doesnt have to be super efficient but somehow decent, I like idea of empire gunline and engineers operating volley guns, Ring of Volans will probably generate me 1 power from shadow. What could I do to make this army more effective?

Personaly I really like this list. I think its intriguing and a bit different :-) as for feedback id recommend a hurricanum instead of a mortar to helb the halbs hit. Really interested to see how this works for you :-)

Presumably you're trying to get Okams with Shadow which begs the question as to why Halberdiers over swordsmen?

Mortars are pretty poor now. They used to be auto include. When they were cheaper and S3 they just never earn their points back now. Also you're only allowed 3 duplicates at under 3k.

Also 12 points over is not OK. A Steam Tank is great addition to a gunline army. You'll need Pistolliers to run interference otherwise too much gets to you and kills you. Knights make a great hold the line unit. And Reiksguard make a great tarpit in small units.

Hmm, right now I have no idea how to build my army. Could someone please suggest what effective army I could make, I'd insist on keeping wizard, engineers, volley guns and I'd like to use some handgunners.
