I actually really like it. The biggest problems will be Artillery. The lack of a scroll with no drain magic and no lvl 4 concerns me greatly.

With Korhil do you really need a 70pt weapon on the Loremaster? A Scroll would be my advice and a cheap magic weapon.

Some more protection for the BsB would also be a good idea as all he has is a 6+ armour at the moment.

An Eagle or 2 for redirecting and WM hunting is probably a good idea too. Perhaps reduce the Phoenix guard a little to pay for this?

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

fareham, hants, uk

I also like the list.

I do agree with fling about with korhil hanging around, a 70 point weapon is a bit redundant. also i would personally take a L4 archmage instead of a loremaster but fully appreciate the appeal, which is cool.

Also i don't really see why you are taking a sea helm over a noble.

The points saved from dropping the weapon and the seahelm for a noble nets you 2 great eagles.

other than that its good IMHO.

the reason for the sea helm over a noble is simple. its for the Navel Discipline rule. letting me reform my unit when ever charged.

also the reason for the sword on the Loremaster is also very simple.... its cool 6 attacks with always striking first and because its not a GW he will get his re-rolls(most of the time) and has the 40k rending rule effectivly

yea not having a scroll is the only thing that really worries me personally. so might possibly change the lore master for that. but the lack of a level 4 doesnt. i think unless im unlucky i should be up the bored rather quickly.

Looks like a pretty good list to me, I'd still make a few changes though.

I'd personally take a Level 4 but, as you're set on the Loremaster, that's fine. Still, I'd swap the Loremaster's equipment round. The Blade of Leaping Gold, whilst cool, is not actually that good. It's great against low-toughness, heavily armoured infantry and the PegLord, but other than that, you'd be far better off with the Giant Blade. Also, the Giant Blade, being 10 points cheaper, allows you to fit in a Dispel Scroll as well.

I'd also drop Korhil, since he's a bit redundant and doesn't add much to the list and, using the points saved, get your BSB some sort of Ward Save. Get the Gambler's Armour, since that unlocks Heavy Armour as well as giving you a 6+ Ward that hopefully you can boost.

Korhil apart from being a rather cheap and good combat character also makes the unit stubborn. just a added precaution. but i could make a cheap prince with stubborn.

yea I'm thinking of dropping the sword off the Loremaster. and the might put in the sword of bloodshed over the giant blade but i can pick that when i need to and then as you said can put in a dispel scroll

also given the bsb the gamblers armour

OK so list has been edited.
