Four more Federated Security Troopers are coming in February including a groovy new Heavy trooper. Sculpted and painted by Martin Buck with original heads and carbines by Ian Mountain.

That heavy laser cannon thingy's all well and good, but where's my Bazookoid?

* Mods, following discussion in the previous thread BrookM has agreed to passing custodianship of this topic over to me. As a result this new thread's been created, so if you would could you close the other one please?

I always wanted one of those Blakes 7 guns when I was a kid!

Great-looking minis.

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been a newsletter as of yet, or does this also have to do with their current site woes?

They're way behind on their workload at the moment (or they're not, they just keeping adding more crap to it). With the 7ZombieTv expansion, licenced Sword and Sorcery 7Tv expandalone, and attempting to sculpt and release boxsets for each of the main casts, I feel like they're a bit swamped, considering its only two guys working part time.

Looking on their forums here's some titbits, ooh, and a sale I missed!

Ahoy Minions! Bag a shiny bargain!

From now until the end of January get 25% all our miniatures (excluding New Releases) using the code JAN25OFF when you checkout.

2014 is here! Hopefully you all have your jetpacks by now. Mine is tremendous. I fried our neighbours dog with the hot exhaust. Brilliant.

Anyway. Karl and I have just been Skype'ing and have discussed various things. Some of which I can reveal. Some I can't. Mostly because we don't know ourselves.

JAN: 5x ARC Moonbase Crew (these will most likely go up for sale Friday 3rd Jan, posting out from Monday 6th). The first of our new Starter Sets (might be February…)
FEB: 3x FedSec Troopers + 1x FedSec Heavy Weapon. Maybe more Starter Sets…
MAR: 4x Beat Models. Starter Sets…
APR: 3x Time Lost II + we hopefully launch our new licensed product, with maybe 8 miniatures to start with. I have the contract right here as I type.

Also planned (these are not necessarily in the right order)/subject to change/cancellation/leaves on the line/landslip:

• Vlad's Army: PDF (and maybe print) Vampire and Home Guard supplement for 7ombieTV
• Tales of the Unexplained: Long talked about magical supplement for 7TV.
• At least one resin vehicle and maybe a big resin monster
• The cast of SHIVA finished off in metal and some Department X started
• 7TV supplement based on the aforementioned licensed product (* Wyrmy edit. Yup, that's one magical expansion and this separate D&D inspired one)

We haven't really planned out our miniatures beyond April yet, apart from one resin vehicle and getting some Department X done. It'll likely be a mix of pure 7TV and stuff inspired by televisual viewing. So apart from anything about our Monster Munch license plans, you know everything we do. Which is frighteningly not a lot.

As before, can't wait for Vlad's Army to arrive, really looking forward to that one, especially with Warlord soon releasing Dad's Army minis!

Also curious to see the new the Beat minis, here's hoping for minis of Chris and Ray.

Resin vehicle is still the Ford Transit I hope?

Well, the one they keep featuring in their books is an old Corgi model. Great scale, but sadly a wee bit expensive.

Hey kids.Photo of the day from Crooked Dice: ARC Astronauts and Moon Buggy.

*I'd meant to stick these into the other thread, but... well I'm far too lazy to look at Crooked Dice's webpage everyday for nice photos.

@BrookM

Hmn, I may have to look that one out. There's two stalls at my local flea market that sell die cast cars almost exclusively. With the few thousand miniatures there I'm sure I could turn one of those up (and offer a silly low price for it to the seller's chagrin).

This month's Newsletter is out.

Miniatures
ARC Moonbase Crew
The Albion Rocket Consortium (ARC) rely on adventurous and daring men and women to staff their moonbase. Now you can add to the ranks of your own ARC forces with these five models, equipped with communicator/scanners, pistols and rifles. Available singly (£3.25) or as a Deal (£15). Sculpted by Ian Mountain. We've also got a free PDF that adds revised stats for ARC Astronauts, a Sonic Cannon and the ARC Buggy.

Mid January Sale!
From now until the end of January get 25% all our miniatures (excluding New Releases). Just use the code JAN25OFF when you checkout.

Deal of the Month
Carrying on the ARC theme the January 2014 Deal of the Month comprises 6x previous ARC Astronaut models (for £10) when purchased with the Moonbase Crew Deal.

Price changes
We have had to adjust prices for a few packs this month. We giveth and we taketh away, so not all bad!
* FedSec Robot to £5, deal to £14 (each down £1)
* Failed Experiment deal is reduced deal to £7.50 (down £1)
* Talos is now £10 (up £2), Talos + Argo to £12
* Argonauts are now £6.50 (up 50p), deal to £12 (up £2)

Coming Soon
Here’s a quick round up of what the first part of 2014 has to offer:

Season Five
In February, Martin Buck has added four more gas-masked goons to bolster your FedSec forces. We have three FedSec Troopers and one Heavy Weapon trooper.

March sees a police recruitment drive as The Beat adds Drew Falstaff, a rookie detective and informant ‘King Tut' Tuttle to their ranks as they attempt to foil underworld boss ‘The Duchess’. Ernst Veingart is pushing the putty of these. S.H.I.V.A. Co-Stars Dr Mao and the Mannequin will also be available thanks to the talented Andrew May.

And April sees three vortex adventurers; Ian Mountain is sculpting the war torn Professor Kane (Doctor Who you ninnies) - who claims to have been fighting an eternal war through the ages; Marwood – an Edwardian scientist
trapped forever in New Year’s Eve; and Ms Freeman – a liberated young medic from the near future. Beyond that we have at least one resin vehicle and maybe a big resin monster planned. And once the cast of S.H.I.V.A. finished off in metal we will turn our attention to Department X…

Boxed Sets
The first of our new Starter Sets will be out in the next few weeks. We now have enough models to group some in handy to collect boxes.

First up are the reliable Minions, who have been sorted into a new collection. Then we have SHIVA starter set which gathers together a lot of the latest releases in a villainous collection. Expect more boxed sets to appear in the web store (and hopefully your local retailers) in some natty DVD packaging soon.

Rules
Tales of the Unexplained
As well as Vlad’s Army (see below), we are dusting off the arcane tome that is Tales of the Unexplained – the long talked about magical supplement for 7TV. You can expect some supernatural casts, rules for including magic in your 7TV games and all manner of dark and timorous beasties that haunt our sceptred isle.

7 Seas
If you’ve been following the Crooked Dice forum, you might have already seen Paul’s Sullie's great submission for 7th Voyage covering pirates, musketeers and adventures on the high seas. We were so impressed we wanted to make it more widely available, so you can expect to see that in the web store in the coming months.

Vlad’s Army
Layout has begun on our next 7ombieTV supplement that brings a new but ancient undead terror to your tabletops – the vampire. We have rules for these fanged fiends with details on how to build your own horrors as well as some classic guest stars that have stalked page and screen. And to fight this threat are new rules for military casts in 7ombieTV as well as a co-star archetype – the vampire hunter. Plus there are six new episodes including the three-part Vlad’s Army campaign. Coming soon.

Shows
Tickets are already available for Salute 2014, and once again Team Crooked will mobilise to bring you new quick play games and lots of shiny toys. But before the big day you can see us at Cavalier (Tonbridge, 23 February) and Overlord (Abingdon, 2 March). We also hope to be at Triples in Sheffield in May which will start a trend of attendance at a few more of the Midlands shows.

I'm short of time at this second, so I haven't actually read what I've posted above yet. Those expansions look tasty though.

Cover for Vlad's Army:

Obviously this wouldn't be allowed to be sold in Germany. =P

Edit: The Swastika's being changed to an Iron Cross. The striking issue of the missing apostrophe remains however!

It's a bat apostrophe or been drained by a vampire bat?

Whose going to be offended by Swastika vampires? Vampires that were tricked into joining the National Socialists and you know just sorta went with the flow....like all those group think vampires you hear about? Silly Germany.

Anyway that's all irrelevant. When can I get it?

Its illegal in Germany to serll any product including any Nazi symbols (not just the swastica) apart from in educational material, which may make Crooked Dice's products untenable there. I pointed it out to Crooked Dice and they said they'll change it.

There's no pending release date, but I suppose it'll be soon (ish). All products can be bought from Crooked Dice's site, or from their stand at any of the shows they attend.

WTH is going on here? Cyclops, dudes with ray guns, arabian sheiks, people playing electronic chess, nazi vampires...

Did they mix all of the chex geek card game expansions together and then make a TV series or something?

You're looking at three different ranges of games here: 7TV for the spy-fi and sci-fi stuff, 7th Voyage for the fantasy stuff and 7ombieTV for the vampires and zombies.

All of which are fully compatible with one another, so yes, Cyclops fighting security guards with rayguns, as an oncoming zombie horde approaches is entirely feasible. The cheaper, camper and cheesier the better.
