So I’ve just taken a plunge on starting Flames of War. 15mm Scale is completely brand new to me when it comes to painting so it’s taking some learning but I’m really enjoying it.

Just started a 12. Volksgrenadier Company from the NUTS! Book. Really enjoying getting these done and tabletop ready so I can begin to learn the rules. I’m not the greatest painter and I know that but I’m happy with the results so there at a table top standard.

Nice work!

Did an army myself http://www.breakthroughassault.co.uk/search/label/Volksgrenadiers?m=0

Found that they have the tools to do everything! I mean assault rifle and a Faust is an awesome combination

The problem is they are very expensive, so you get small armies, and they still die like infantry even with all the toys.

Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks mate, I'll be honest it was your Volks army that got me to pick that army so it's great to get some feedback from yourself! Even got you guys linked on my Blog.

Yeah they've got great choices throughout the army, so much Anti-Tank it's great.

Still learning the rules though so I'm not a complete expert.

So this has taken a bit longer than anticipated!

I've done a few updates in my blog (in the sig) but here's what I've completed so far, still learning how to take photos and finally got a digital SLR so will be playing with that this weekend;

At lunch today I also primed the remainder of the infantry and the other StuG G so I've got a good amount of painting to do.

From there I've got the Pak40 Winter Set to build and the Flak 43 Blister.

Also bought some Plastic Soldier Company German Heavy Weapons for Mortars and HMGs but not too sure whether I'll be using them as I'm not sure whether I can give them that winter look I'm wanting for the force.

Hoping to have all the infantry and the tank painted by the end of April.

For a first effort into 15mm those look very good. Love the terrain you have used on the bases, and nice job with the camo pattern on the stugs.

If you want winter themed troopers you could try Peter Pigs range of German troopers. They have some very nice minis in Great-coats and Zeltbahns (ponchos) which I'm sure would look great with snow bases. They do unit packs, but this is the link for the individual miniature shots
