Started this last night and thought I would share. Got all the details left to go before I decal it up and weather the tank.

Only criticism I can think of is that as the others have said maybe a little weathering will help it out, and also it deserves a better photo!

Well heres some updated and better shots.

Not done too much to it due to painting a load of Imperial Guard for a game of 40k.

Will be ordering some decals this week so I can start weathering them

Decals are now on order.

They also have company, what started off as a support platoon for my grenadiers has suddenly turned into the start of the 503 heavy panzer division lol

Loving those konigstigers, can't wait to see the whole division up and running!

Nothing quite sums up my love for Flames of War as neatly as Schwere Panzer Company of TIGERS.

Seeing a small force of TIGERS rip apart a numerically superior force was what got me into FOW all those years ago with the TIGERS MARSCH boxed set.

How do I add the magnets to the tigers? Do I need to drill into the turret base?

Yeah thats how i do it. Then I careful glue it in, making sure the alignment is right, or the turret will repel.

Always go Half a millimetre, to a milimetre bigger! Why? Because if you dry fit it, and it's tight you will not get it out and then you may have to change the polarity of the other magnet.

I'm quite fastiduous with mine, to make sure all turrets are aligned the same way with the hull, so the turrets are interchangable.



I even did it with my Stuarts so I could have Jallopies etc.



Two Vehicles one Hull...

Managed to do some work on the Tigers over the weekend, just details, decals and weathering to go.





Not sure what I should get to support them. I was thinking Anti air would be helpful but then not sure if I should get some form of arty or Panzer grenadiers.

Decals finally arrived and managed to weather up the tigers.

Will be getting some Plastic Panzer Grenadiers to support the armour as well as some AA.

Very nice! A slight suggestion to make your tanks pop, is a light dry brushing with something like "Iraqi Sand".

It gives highlights, and really helps the shadows and shading by adding contrast.

Will that work even with camo?

What you need:

Gepanzerte Panzergrenadiers, Though you can take the infantry you have and add Sd Kfz 251's. The AFV's are good enough to keep up with the panzers and provide local AA cover while doing so.

Specialist AAA. I would go for 3x unarmoured Sd Kfz 7/1, Cheap and has the firepower needed. They never need LOS to ground targets.

Recon. SdKfz 222 are the best option because they are cheap, and have self defence AA. Though a case could be made for some Luchs.

Does with mine....But just make sure you are good at drybrushing...e.g there is the faintest traces of paint on the brush.



See how I have dry brushed with a much lighter tone...Really helps to make the model pop.
