Well now we have a starting week so I'll start a new thread for this. The Chibi Asian KS is starting shipping 2 months ahead of schedule.

Well done, Impact . These look much more interesting to me than the Asian-themed campaign ones, too.

got some more details from Tom looks like Sci-Fi is in as well so i've added the artwork to the first post.

To start as soon as they put the last parcel for Asian KS in the post (that they can ship they are still missing some addresses).

We have lined up 27 new miniatures for the campaign (working on 28 right now if we can find a sculptor how can finish before end of month). Current plan is a funding goal of $5k for the 15 figures that Chris has picked as the starting set with a new figure added by vote every $1,700 from there.

Dave and others who are thinking of getting in on this chibi Cthulhu campaign- you might be interested in this other one, which is only for a single chibi Cthulhu model, and ends in 3 days.

Unfortunately it's a bit steep- $35 for one model, and another $15 if you're international... but thought it was worth sharing so no one missed it, if chibi Cthulhu is your thing

I'm more in this for the Sci-Fi stuff and anything that is generic enough to be used as a fantasy type hero/monster, the whole Cthulhu mythos stuff holds very little interest for me, I know it's very popular it's just not to my tastes most of the time.

I just got my Asian Chibis and I am pretty happy with the quality. Material is easy to clean! Minimal cleanup, just the vent points.

Type 1 are 30mm approx and Type 2 are 50mm approx that's largely design dependant. They scale very well with other popular chibi figures but they are their own thing proportions can be slightly different (heads are a little bigger) they weren't designed to exactly copy another style.

You'll have wait a bit longer Joyboozer it has only just been submitted to KS for approval.

I have access to the preview page so I'll post a few bits about pledge levels later today so people know what to expect.

Oh and I could have sworn I saw a certain law enforcer on there as well but you'll have to judge the likeness for yourselves.

The campaign will run a week longer than SDE.

Thanks for the update, DaveC! And Joyboozer, I'll edit that link out of my post tomorrow since it ends today, so that should put an end to the confusion finally

Edit: Disguised the link inside the text, so that someone looking for it can find it, but someone glancing through on a phone won't mistake it for the real thing

Most of them look great, but the flapper's face needs to be tweaked a little bit to make it look like she's winking. The open eye needs a bit of an angle. Also her body proportions seem to be off from most of the other work you guys have done.

I don't have an unpainted image of the flapper so I'm not sure how much is the sculpt and how much is the digital paint job that might be causing the issue.

For the record I have no connection to Impact! Miniatures I was lucky enough to get chatting to Chris and Tom during the first chibi KS and they now send me previews of the artwork and sculpts and look for feedback on them but that's the extent of my involvement. The headset on the light infantry was one of my contributions I also had them redesign the cyborgs bionic eye as it didn't translate well to the original sculpt, Chris must have been wondering what the hell was going on when I sent him a load of Borg images! (Sci-Fi isn't really his thing)

I've had a chance to give the KS page the once over now note this is subject to change before launch.

As before there are type 1, 30mm miniatures and type 2, 50mm miniatures. There's a points cost system this time type 1s cost 1 point and type 2s cost 2 points.

The initial funding is $5,000 the following are available once that's reached,

Type 1 - Archaeologist, Flapper, Gangster, Elder Thing, Gug, Shoggoth, Hound, Scientist.

Medium Sci-Fi Infantry (labelled heavy infantry before), Light Infantry (Helmet), Rynak, Cyborg, MP officer (he is the law), Major Mrin (medium infantry without helmet), Lieutenant Prophet (light infantry without helmet)

Type 2 - Chaugnar Faugn

The following existing sculpts will also be available, type 1 - Pumpkinhead, Deep One, Avatar of Yog, Avatar of Shub, Mummy. Type 2 - Cthulhu, Flesh Golem

Pledge levels - spend your points on minis

Minion Level $10 - 1 point, $5 to ship outside US
Investigator Level $30 - 5 points, $5 to ship outside US
Herald Level $50 - 10 points, $5 to ship outside US
Guardian Level $75 - 16 points, $5 to ship outside US
Elder Level $100 - 22 points, $10 to ship outside US
Ancient One Level $150 - 34 points, $10 to ship outside US
Great Old One Level $200 - 46 points, $10 to ship outside US
H.P. Creator Level $250 - 58 points, $15 to ship outside US

Any level can buy extra points at $5 per point. H.P. Creator can buy them at $3 per point.

Excuse my ignorance, but are these for a game or just a niche genre of mini?

Just minis for now they had a backer working on a game for them that they were going to publish but I'm not sure where that's at any more.

I've seen a few home made SDE cards knocking around for some of the minis as well.

They can be used to chibi up other games I have complete Heroquest set in Chibi form from the first KS.

Lots of people use these for RPGs where you have a free-form bestiary, Like Pathfinder and D&D.

Some people use them as alt models for SDE and Heroquest or other games where the RULES exist but the minis don't.

Others seem to collect and paint them for fun.

Kickstarter is now live

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-gaslight-horror-cthulhu-mythos-and-sci-fi-mi

funding goal $5,000

then the first stretch goal is at $6,300

the Ithaqua goes head to head with the student in the backer poll winner gets made. Really torn on this 2 of my favourite sculpts. The losing sculpt come sback in a later head to head vote it's not lost entirely.

Ithaqua all the way, imo! I'm surprised they only show art for it on the KS page, not the render you have in the OP here (which that looks great!).

I think they are waiting until it funds but the poll is open already link on main KS page. I actually voted student in the end the sculpt turned out really well, I think the Ithaqua will win but student just looks very good too.

Where do you see the sculpt for that one? I see way more in your OP here than on the campaign page

You'll see it soon enough as it's halfway to funded. Chris sent me a picture of it but I've only posted things in the first post that are publically available in some form or other actually Tom hadn't even seen some the images I have! some of the artists posted images to their blogs. The only exception was the Flapper and Hastur as I wanted to recreate the artwork advertising with actual miniatures.

The thing is, most of the ones I'd be interested in are these (the insect / alien ones) and they're not listed. Will they all be unlocked one at a time pending votes...?
