1550 Points, 4 Platoons

or swap the t34s for 6 M4 shermans

I had tried this list with the 85mm AA guns and 4 rocket trucks with crew in place of the tanks. havent tried the above list yet as i dont have any t34s yet what to know what people think before i buy them i do have lots of shermans as i love my american tanks but want the speed of the t34s i think. i only have 3 weeks before my natonals event and with work and other things on dont know if ill get a chance to playtest this list.

I think as far as a Heavy Assault gun list goes it's solid. As far as backup platoons go I prefer the greater numbers of the T-34's to the emchas, but YMMV. As with any list built around Heavy AFV's, you'll probably do well against medium tanks, but struggle against large amounts of dug-in infantry as a lot of those points spent on AT-13+ guns are wasted in such circumstances (I used to run an IS-2 list, so I know this pain personally). Additionally, the other problem I've run into with kind of list is that the Soviet AFV's just can't stand up the big cats fielded by Germans. RoF1 is a killer and even under the best circumstances (long range, concealed) the Germans are still hitting you on a 5+ v. Your 6+ to hit them or worse, 7+ if you moved.

TLR, for the kind of list it is, I approve. More generally, Soviet heavy AFV's never really worked well for me against either large amounts of infantry or lists with Heavy AFV's. They're still fun to run though!
