For an upcoming painting competition I wanted to do something a little fun. I decided to do a special conversion to poke a little fun at space marines. My idea is to use a generic space marine commander as a base. Then I plan to add multiple back banners for a peacock look. After I get that worked out I will plaster him head to toe with purity seals, I mean murder the guy with purity seals. The only real part of him that will be showing is his eyes, which I will be putting a pair of cheap hobby googly eyes on. Once all the highlighting is done I'll put random corporate logos on some of the purity seals (Get a Nascar style sponsor effect). Other players at my game store are donating purity seals, so once I get them I can start. Anybody have any ideas that I can incorporate? Stay tuned!

I'm debating on whether I should equip him with dual power fists that are holding "power shovels" from the IG heavy weapons teams or if I should do dual power fists and have him swinging two marines by the ankles. The issue I see with the marine flails is balance. I'll put him on either a 40mm it 60mm base to help, cuz well he's just a display piece. Any thoughts? I'll try and post some pics tonight.

MOAR purity seals! After some thought I think I'll paint him up as an angry marine. It just kinda fits. Probably put the angry marines smiley on the middle banner, F and U on the other two. I don't even know if I want to add more purity seals at this point lol

YES. I wish I had gotten in on this earlier, because his pauldrons need their own set of pauldrons. One of the shovels needs to be an heirloom of the Emperor and have "#1 Dad" written on it.

I'm actually out of purity seals at the moment lol. I'm going to be heading to my game store tomorrow and people already have more waiting for me

Added some more purity seals. I primed him up and going to start on him. I'm debating on whether or not to do script on the purity seals. Normally, I think it looks like scripting makes it look too cluttered and rubbish. Any thoughts?
I also noticed there are some areas I missed, I'll be cleaning those up this week since I have better lighting.

Here he is with almost all his base coats done. I do still need to do some cleaning up before a wash. So any thoughts about whether or not to put scripting on all the seals? I'm going to do the Angry Marines chapter symbol on the middle banner.

I love it. I had this idea myself once but never went through with it.

Almost got all the highlights done. Then I need to go back and do the chapter symbol on the banner and some fun scripting on his power fists.

Here is the finished product! I put him on a resin scenic base that I had laying around. I can't identify where it came from but it's 40mm, and I figured this guy is awesome enough to have a bigger base lol. I had to keep the Angry Marines script a little PG sine it will be on public display at the local store lol. Tell me what you guys think.

As a suggestion, I say to reference to meme using the standard but instead of writting "None Purer" it should be "NONE ANGRIER!!"

I had the thought of doing a tank commander murdered with purity seals. Basically I was going to take a Styrofoam ball, roll it in glue, then roll it in purity seals, and add a barrel sticking out lol.
