I used to play a lot of 5th edition but I've only played one game of 6th edition which was at 500 points. I took all infantry and got wiped out by something like tau broadsides with missiles that ignored cover which was wild. Anyway, I have read the new codex and some of what people have been saying about it and put together this list using models that I have or could easily convert. For example, I currently have two Leman Russ tanks with battle cannons and lascannons and could easily convert the battle cannon into a vanquisher cannon. I wouldn't mind converting a punisher cannon or any other variant. The idea with this list is that the blob squad sits on a back objective while the veterans are ready to deal with any tough targets, and the company command squad sits in the middle of the force with the enginseer ready to give orders and grant
PotMS to the ordnance russ so he can fire his lascannon. I'm going to be honest, I haven't wrapped my head around all the psychic powers and psykers but I keep reading that the three primaris psykers are useful so I included them for the time being. I have 55 points left, maybe I should include an aegis defense line? Oh,
btw I read this:

Cmd. Squadron gets a 4+ cover save on it's AV14 front armour and still fire. Enginseers can bless a Tank Cmdr's Demolisher giving it
PotMS allowing it to fire it's Demolisher ordnance cannon at one target and BS4 Lascannon at another. Chimerae still have the Command Vehicle rule so that embarked officers can issue orders while onboard measuring command radius from the hull. A lot of things in here for

I'm trying to come up with an army list that doesn't have any big mistakes because I took it apart and stripped my old army ready to reassemble for the new codex, and if you guys think it's good to go, I'll paint it up and start getting out to the tables and getting some experience.
