"The space marine officer was waving and yelling to his men on the wall unaware he was leading the Squiggoth on. Stompy (the squiggoth) headbutted its way through the wall and gave chase to the terrified commander as he ran up seven tiers of the fortress, trying to close gates behind him and ordering men to cover his fight. In the end, stompy cornered and pulverised the officer in the heart of the citadel as thousands of orks poured through the breaches he had left behind."

How many points is this list?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also add with your list having small numbered squads you should consider trukks. Sure they die but they move fast and get your orks where they need to be.

Number of Orks equals number of leadership. Run squads of orks at numbers of ten or higher as anything else will have them running when someone sneezes.

Nobs with Klaws are very powerful models and can wreck most anything they encounter as a result your Nob squad perhaps has to many points invested in power klaws. The squad is over effective at killing things thus why spend more points on a unit which can already do it's job. Thats more points you could elsewhere.

Grots hold objectives and act as cannon fodder for the orks. Ork Boyz are for mobbin' and killing.

Lootas are also food add more.

I did the math and this list is about a 1000 point list probably a little bit over that. I can drop the burn as for more lootas if you think I should.

If you have grots, you don't need a big mek, unless you're going to split your forces, and keep the mech to your mechanical stuff. Otherwise I think you're wasting points there. Potentially you might want a large unit of grots to act as a big mek or a charge-buffer but I don't think you've really got a list that works like that.

I don't understand how you're getting 4 big shootas from 34 orks, I assume that you unlock 1 big shoota per 10 orks (including nobs) within the single troop slot. That would mean you max out at 3. I also don't understand 34 orks...are you not breaking up your orks? If so thats a max of 30.

I honestly don't know how to figure nobs. I think 5 claws might be good if you're going to go gang-busters on some vehicles with them, but if you're going against normal troops I don't know if the higher strength is better, or if you'd desire sluga choppa. Nobs are weird.

Sorry about the 4 big shoota thing. I forgot to update that, Also since you think I should drop the Big Mek what do you think that I should use for another HQ choice?

The cybork is not that great.

10x, Nobz; 10x Cybork armor , 5x Power claw, 4x Big choppa, 1x Painboy
Are you still using the last edition Codex? Because the Nobs can no longer take Painboys.
6x, Burna Squad
Might need a bit more of these guys. They are targeted pretty quick.

19x, Grots; 1x Rutherford
17x, Ork Boyz; 2x Big shootas-1x Nobz+Bosspoles+Cybork armor+ Power Claw

Cybork is not that great anymore, drop that.

Ork battlewagon; Red paint job; Deffrolla; 4x Big Shootas
Deathrolla is not that great anymore for the points. Just give it a ram.
9x Loota squad

Here let me help you and fix this. It is so much easier if you put them into the sections they belong to. ie HQ's Elites, Troops, Fast and Heavies.

It seems from your list you still are using the last edition Codex. This is an ok start to a basic list. Hope this helps.

Thanks this really helps. Do you think I should add 'eavy armor to the Nobz? Because whenever I use them they just get mowed down due to have 6+ armor saves. 4+ saves really give me better odds at them surviving. This list is definately an upgrade on what it was.

Eavy armor couldn't hurt for sure. You only really need about 2 Pk's in with your nobs squad. Anymore and its really over kill and not needed.

So do you think I should trade out the other 3 power claws for slugga and choppas or something else?

Welcome to Dakka! I don't normally do this, but I feel you need a hand:

HQ:
- Ork Warboss w/Power Klaw, Cybork Armor [95 pts]
- Big Mek w/KFF, Bosspole [90 pts]

Elites:
- Nobz Mob w/10 Nobz, 10x Cybork Armor, 5x Power Klaw, 4x Big Choppa, 1x Painboy [425 pts]
- Lootaz Mob w/9 Lootaz [135 pts]
- Burnaz Mob [75 pts]

Troops:
-Grotz Mob w/19 Grots, Runtherd [67 pts]
-Boyz Mob w/10 Boyz, Big Shoota, Nob ('Eavy Armour, Power Klaw, Bosspole) [110 pts]
-Boyz Mob w/10 Boyz, Big Shoota, Nob ('Eavy Armour, Power Klaw, Bosspole) [110 pts]
-Boyz Mob w/14 Boyz, Big Shoota [89 pts]

Heavy Support:
- Battlewagon w/Red Paint Job, Deffrolla, 4x Big Shootaz [135 pts]

[Total: 1331 pts]

You appear to be using the old Orks codex, as opposed to the new one, so for pickup games you'll need to get the current version.
I've made corrections to the list for errors (in a boyz mob, you need 10 boyz per big shoota, and each mob only goes up to 30. Also, Nobz in Boyz squads cannot take Cybork, only 'Eavy)

-20x, Ork Boyz; 2x Big shootas-1x Nobz+Bosspole+Power Claw+’eavy armor
-1x, Ork battlewagon; Red paint job; Ram; 4x Big Shootas
-9x, Loota squad
This should be a little bit lower than 1,500 points I will add more things to it to get to exactly 1,500 points once the 7th edition codex gets here. So this should be good. You guys can still comment on this if you want to.

Where are they going? The KFF got a bit nerfed while in vehicles it only covers that vehicle. In squads it only covers those models that are within 6" now.
-10x, Nobz; 3x Power claw; 4x Big choppa, 1x WAAAGH Banner, 3x Slugga and choppa, 10x ‘eavy armor
Really expensive squad. I would do maybe 2 PK"s and the rest Slugga and choppas and the eavy armor.
-8x, Burna Squad
Great unit, they need a trukk, which is a dedicated transport for them now.
-19x, Grots; 1x Rutherford
-20x, Ork Boyz; 2x Big shootas-1x Nobz+Bosspole+Power Claw+’eavy armor
-20x, Ork Boyz; 2x Big shootas-1x Nobz+Bosspole+Power Claw+’eavy armor
Adding Eavy armor to the nobs you can't do unless the whole unit has Eavy armor. So just drop it.
-1x, Ork battlewagon; Red paint job; Ram; 4x Big Shootas
Red paint job is wasted points. It only adds to movement when turbo boosting now.
-9x, Loota squad

Okay going from bottom to top on your advice.
I will drop the red paint job due to the fact that I can only use it when turbo boosting. I will also drop the 'eavy armor on the nobz with the boyz because I have to. I also like your thinking on the trukk because the burnas are almost instant targets. My Nob squad I might keep how it is because I need to have a unit that can take on more tougher units. as for where my warboss is going to be, I plan on putting him in the battlewagon with my nobz and i'm still deciding on where to put my Big Mek with KFF.

Do you mean model wise or rules wise? Model wise they pretty much come with eavy armor, but you could add a bigger shoulder pad or add a little piece of plastic card to the chest or legs area. Simple stuff like that.

And no problem. I live Ork and I want those that play to make them the greatest they can be. I want to start a Great Whaagh!!! and take Armageddon once and for all.

The advice balsak_da_mighty gave is good, assuming you're using the new Codex, which given the list I don't think you are.

Correction: 1 Runt Herd per 10 Grots. Reduce to 19.

I subscribe to max units: 30 footslogging, 20 BattleWagon, 12 Trukk. You want to have enough.when you get there. Remember we are slow and inaccurate. ::THUMP:: Orks dont miss we shoot everything, its more fun dat way.

Drop the Big Shootas. If you are out of range run. Also at best you might kill 1 marine. 4 BS = 3 Orks. MOAR IS BETTA!

Drop the Big Choppas. Orks die and you need cheap models to take the wounds so you don't care about them.

What is your plan for the KFF? What about anti-tank and anti-air?

FASTA, DAKKA, WAAAGH, KRUMP, ORKS WIN AGAIN!!!

Nobz with power claws are pretty effective against tanks from what I've found. I've always struggled with anti air, I suppose I could always bombard any flying vehicles with my lootas.... I'm still analyzing my army on where to put my big mek with KFF.
