Hi guys.

I've been looking for cheap plastic rods, to cut them up for rivets or do some scratchbuilding. Of course, most plasticard companies have them, and if you want to pay 4-5€ for 50 cm of thin plastic, that's not a problem but I find this somewhat less than amusing, so I've been looking for alternatives. Long story short, go to your next home-depot or similar, and have a look at these:

The brush of the broom consists of plastic rods. Even an undersupplied store will have varying bristle sizes of about 0,5-1.5 mm thickness, sometimes a combination of varying thicknesses used on a single broom. They cost something in the range of 1-2€ and will give you more than enough plastic rods for all the rivets you will ever need.

Q tips/cotton buds are a good source as well mine are 2.5mm
But a good thaught for the smaller sizes, do they stick with platic glue and are they uniform size?
Btw check out raboesch for plastic profiles.
~£1.50 for 1m in uk and they do all profiles and sizes and in metric rather than imperial like plastruct stuff is
