I want to start introducing individuals I play with to FOW and am gonna buy a second army so that everyone has something to play.

I don't know where to start though.

I started with my Irish Guards because that's who I liked but what Faction and models should I play that could give people a good, quick all encompassing feel? Or should I just go with a Tank Company and which faction?

I think German tanks. The tank on tank games are quick and relatively easy, the German tanks look cool, and they're relatively forgiving with storm trooper

I would actually suggest a tank heavy grenadier kompanie. This would give a better overview of the game as a whole while still being easy to use and quite small.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

If I was looking for a second starter army to break people in, show them what could be done, lots of choices for growth...I would go with a grenadier list out of Grey Wolf based on two sides of the german box set.

3 grenadier units, 2 3 man StuGs, 1 3 gun Pak 40s, 4 tubes of mortars plus 2 more in the HQ.

Its not optimal, but it puts models on the table for a low cost and comes in just shy of 1500. I think you can do something similar out of Bridge by Bridge as well.

Tanks....Any nation.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Except Soviet--hens and chicks can be a real turn-off for new players . U.S., British, or German tank is the way to start.

Yes I think so too. If you want to experience more of what the game has to offer, I would probably go for a mix of infantry, tanks and artillery.

Even if you have just a few infantry it's quite cool using them to dig in on objectives or assault to capture one.

I started with Americans with a large infantry presence and artillery for back up. This taught me how precious cover is in this game. It also taught me how to make the transition in tactics from 40k to FOW. Infantry is fun and hand to hand is brutal.
