Inaugeral post: Greetings, my story is one often told it seems, a long term 40K/WFB player grown burnt out and searching for something new and found myself to Warmahordes. Finally over comming that feeling of "I spent how many thousands on this and don't feel like jumping ship inertia" I bit the bullet and started this game. Frankly I lack the vocabulary to express how refreshing the change as been. To spend so little time on rules discussions and not have to do all the random pregame generations has reignited my joy of table top wargames. Now onto the specifics.

I started a few weeks ago with Skorne after alot of online research and am loving that faction. Granted I am still at the very initial learning stage where it's primarily "Beat the other Caster" type of game. I have never had so much fun going 1w-15L. I had a few specific rules questions, and as I am completly incapable of sticking with one faction I had a few faction questions if some one has the spare time to set me straight.

General questions:
A- Can you use a WarNouns budget towards a Collasal/Gargantuans?
B- If you are unable to charge due to LoS, or Speed penalty can you advance and do your normal attack(s) without the benifit of the charge boost? For example BronzeBack "Stomples" has a movement penalty, and thus can not charge, but he can be advanced and do his initial 3 attacks (two fists and head but), or would it only be one attack with more purchasble? Similar with all the varied LoS blocking effects?
C-If you Throw/2H throw a model that has steady, is that model able to do its normal actions, assuming it survives being tossed?
D- Does the Warroom app provide the information on tier lists, even thouse put out in Lock & Load? And if not where is a good source for those?

As I said I have trouble sticking to just one force and wanted to do a Warmachine army in addition to Hordes. The Cephalyx have a wonderful creepy Illithid (Mindflayer) vibe. I do not have the mercenary book and had a few questions on how these beings work. I know Cephalyx slaver and druges, and Cephalyx Overlords are availible to Cryx in a normal Cryx army list. But if I wanted to run a Cephalyx themed army...
A- Exulon Thexis is the only availible Caster correct? and his Tier list is?
B- What are people's views on the Subduer and Wrecker Monstrosities?
C- Monstrosities function as Warjacks for all intent and purposes with brains instead of cortex?
D- The Cephalyx UA the Dominator allows the inclusion of a single Mercenary unit under its "Guidence" is there any limit on which mercenary unit or those that would normally work with Ceph's and Cryx?
E- Can I include normal Cryx unit, in or out of Thexis's tier list? like if I wanted to inclue a Skarlock as a warlock attatchment for it?

Thank you guys for all the guidence you have provided just from me reading while lurking.

A - Yes, they are still Warjacks/Warbeasts (the same way that Light and Heavy Warjacks are both Warjacks). The only restriction is that the bonus points your caster gives you have to be spent on jacks/beasts in your battlegroup (i.e they can't be marshaled)
B - Short answer is yes. You always get your initials (usually only melee or ranged initials unless you have Gunfighter etc), so if after your movement you are within melee range you get all your melee initial attacks, or if you aren't in melee range you get your ranged initials. Brought attacks are on top of this, and are only limited by your focus/fury for melee attacks and your focus/fury + ROF for ranged attacks.
C - Pretty sure that models thrown have to forfeit either their movement or action that turn, which is on top of normally being knocked down. If you have Steady or some other rule which prevents Knockdown then you can still do something, otherwise a model would not get an activation at all (both the KD and the Throw force you to forfeit half).
D - Yes it has the tier lists, but ones which aren't in the actual source books take a while for them to add.

Can't really help you so much with the Cephalyx questions, all I know about them is that they are pretty much the newest faction (well sub faction) in the game.

E. No, Cryx units will not work for a Cephalyx caster. However pistol wraiths, machine wraiths, and bloat thralls will (iirc, though I'm pretty sure).

first up, welcome to warmachine. Don't forget the complimentary goggles and Ironclad plushie! apparently there is cake too, but i think the wardog ate it!

OK... lots of questions.

General answers:
A) Yes. gargosals are jacks/beasts as per the rules. they will count twaords the WJ or WB points of a warnoun.

B) Yes. this isnt 40k. melee attacks are not built on the requirement to "charge" first. you can walk into combat. movement penalties will prevent charging, but you can still walk it in. and you will get all your initial melee attacks - not just one.

C) Yes. its not counted as knocked down, so it can move/charge attack as per normal. even if it was knocked down, during the control phase it can spend a focus/ generate a fury to shake the knockdown effect.

D) Yes, i think so. Just checked and im able to build my mad dogs of war butcher 2 theme list on it. new themes would probably be updated as they update war room regularly. its a great resource.

Specific answers:
A) So far at least, yes.
B) I think its too early to say for certain, but the cephalyx options seem solid on paper. on their own, their monstrosities are not all that, but with the right support (they have buffing solos) they're great. in any case, its all in No Quarter 54.
C) Check No Quarter 54. Its got all the rules. they function as warjacks, but are not counted as warjacks (so disruption wont work, for example) and have brains instead of a cortex.
D) NQ54. says specifically in the contract rules it says an army can include up to one non cephalyx mercenary unit if that unit includes the dominator.
E)NQ54 Essentially, the cephalyx contract allows you to field bloat thrall, machine wraith and pistol wraiths, but they count as friendly mercenary models rather than cryx models.

So yeah, see if you can find NQ54. until the fow: cephalyx is released, this'll be your go-to guide!

The rules for Throw specifically state that if a model is thrown and activates later in that same turn it will still have to forfeit its action or movement.
If the model doesn't activate in that same turn, then it will be able to do its normal actions and movement.

This.

With two notable exceptions. eIrusk feat and the Wrastler's animus.

EDIT: Just seen you were on about stuff with Steady. sadly neither of those work with that.

There is one other exception to C) throwing a model with a steady. As long as the model can stand up BEFORE its activation, it's fine. It can still activate as normally. Jump start for jacks, reville for Alain Runewood/Fellcallers etc

Also, if you can not be KDed but are KDed during your own activation (crit smite/tough check) or whatnot, you continue activation as normal. You do not end your activation immediately or forfeit anything

Both Reveille and Jump Start specifically exclude models that were knocked on the same turn.
