Pretty solid list. If you have a cheap ass heavy support, like a whirlwind or a thunder fire cannon, I would drop five marines and bring that. Put the remaining five marines in the back with like a las-cannon or ML. This way you are still bringing 2 troop choices, but also bringing a nice amount of cheap fire power. Marines are tough to bring at low lvls, since the HQ and troops are more expensive then other armies.

But I think your list was fine, just wanted to give you a minor suggestion.

Also what chapter are you running, that will also help people give you suggestions.

I usually run a 500 point list like this, but I use Sentinels of Terra; I feel it's the best at that points level because it gives nice buffs to most of your army which have bolters most likely... but Ultramarines should be ok too (if that's what you're running?)

Librarian - lvl 2, force maul
Tactical Squad (10) - rhino w/dozer blade, melta, combi-melta
Scout Squad (5) - land speeder storm w/heavy flamer, combi-flamer
Thunderfire Cannon

There's lots of gear and goodies on these guys so it is pretty fun, and if you drop all the little upgrades you don't really have enough for anything substantial... unless you wanna upgrade the TFC to a Stormtalon or something lol.

I might not even play. 500 points is soo boring. I think 1500 is optimal.

Well it is a good way to learn if your new, helps you get down the basics, but yet higher point games benefit space marines it opens thing up to your more powerful united, like chapter maters, bikes, landraiders, and centurians!
