I have been playing Skaven for a while now and collected about 3500 points worth of them. I have been playing pretty standard lately but wanted to try something different and I have always liked Queek as a model so wanted to try him with my stormvermin.

The list is fairly low on models (240ish) for 3000 points but I have 2 pretty hard hitting units so hopefully the lack of slaves is okay.
So here it is:

Now there are a few things with this list I am not sure about. First is the razor standard, I was thinking of bringing the storm banner although I ma be playing chaos so won't need it in that case.
Also with the plague monks I was thinking of bringing the banner of verminous scurrying to help the monks and furnace get into combat asap.

I'm going to try to cast death frenzy onto the stormvermin with one of the engineers. I was thinking of bringing an engineer with skavenbrew as well but unsure about that idea.

Any comments or critiques are always welcome. Just remember I am trying for something different with this list than what I am used to so I don't really feel like bringing a grey seer since I have lots of access to magic minus the 13th. Thanks!

S5 is brutal against Ogres or Dwarves... but WOC will trash the unit before it gets to swing. Against most everyone else, the extra strength will be overkill.

It's a neat concept, but Queek's Bodyguard is too expensive to be worth it in a tournament Skaven army.

i think you'll do fine but do understand that Queek and his guard are not super competitive but you do have a good list none the less

Ya I do know that queek and his bodyguard aren't the most competitive option but I'm not playing in a tournament just a fun game so thought it would be fun to try out something that people normally wouldn't see when they play skaven.

Stormvermin die in droves to Chaos Warriors...but they swing at the same time. You're taking out 6 Nurgle Warriors with halberds and losing 7.5 Stormvermin, assuming you're Horde'd up and they're 6-wide.

60 Plague Monks is...a lot. I'd rather see them down to 40. Then you can bring more chaff. Two blocks of 20 Slaves and two more Rat Darts would still leave you with 10pts left over.

The Scurrying banner is...pretty meh, honestly. I'd rather see them take the Stormbanner to protect them and the rest of the army from shooting. And the Ironcurse Icon on the Priest.

It's pretty solid, actually. Queek's Stormies aren't point-efficient by any means, but in the Watchtower scenario and similar situations, they're really your only shot. There's something to be said for stacking the odds on the front line. At a certain point, it doesn't matter if the unit costs too much for what it does; if what it does beats your opponent down hard enough, it's worth the inflated cost...as long as you can bring all those points to bear.
