But if the new Space Wolf stuff is any indication you're about a step away from getting Marines riding giant bats in your new 'dex.

How so? Space Wolves have ridden wolves in space for some time. Why would they suddenly have BA riding giant bats with no previous mention?

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I thought that was the slang name for a Canoness during the Red Tide.

Why would we laugh?
I see an awesome looking flyer.
A 'Stormshielded' Dreadnought.
Claws that are ten times as better looking than Blood Talons.
And a special character dread.

I'm quite jealous and cannot wait to see what they have in store for me.

Until the 5e dex where the wolfriders show up, no it wasn't a common thing. In fact unless I'm not recalling correctly there are exactly 0 mentions of it until then. Because wolf, wolf, fang, wolf, frost, wolf!!!

The new units in and of themselves look neat, the rumored wolf sled sounds stupid as hell though, as are the TWC in my opinion. That was the point I was making.

If the new SW flyer is any indication of what sort of upgrade BA will get, I'm actually looking forward to it. If nothing else, it'll be comical.

I'm thinking a flying angel, like one of those grim dark angels you see on buildings or in graveyards. Engines in it's feet and on it's back, it's eyes have guns and it's mouth is the access ramp.

So what forgeworld item do you think they will butcher into the BA codex?

DA has a mini Strike Fighter
SW has a mini Assault Ram
BA ???

Even before we got TWC as a unit, there were references to Fenrisian Wolves being as big as rhinos and carrying Space Wolves into battle. I can't find my old codex or I'd give you a page citation, but I remember only because I started to convert a wolf lord on a Wolf to use as a counts-as biker. Then TWC became a thing. I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

I'd love to see it. I know for a fact it's not in the 2e dex. I dont recall the 3e one off the top of my head well enough thats why I said I might be mistaken.

As best I recall, the only real reference to wolves, aside from "there are big scary wolf things on Fenris" Were the two "brothers" that accompanied Leman Russ from when he was getting his Mowgli on ( and hes a direct analogue to Odin, so...) and the wolf Ragnar killed to get his namesake. That's really it as far as specifics, unless you are counting the legends of Russ taming the wolves.

There is also something tugging at the back of my mind about either Ragnar or Logan having wolves accompany him as well, I want to say that's in the 3e Dex somewhere, maybe.

Truth be told, I'm pretty happy my space vikings are finally getting a space longboat. I'm totally gluing viking shields to the side of that goofy flyer.

Potential wolf sled is still dumb as hell.

I can't decide if this is soo much win or soo much fail

Blood Angels get to ride wolves as well, but they are black and are called Blood Wolves

Blood Angels relic is a swarm of bats that follows the character around and they take the hits instead of the character, giving him an invulnerable save

Bllod Angels get a new Tank, the Sanguinator, looks like Baal but has twn linked acid blood cannons!!

Dracula in a Dreadnought (with exposed head so he can bite enemies)?

Either that or a random table you can roll on to establish your Warlord's alternate vampire form (that they can turn into with a successful Leadership Test):

1 - Bat - obviously this would be the "Primaris Power" choice
2 - Wolf
3 - Rat
4 - Fog
5 -Warhound Titan
6 - Robert Pattinson

Sanguinary Guard and all characters now benefit from the "Sparkle Monster" special rule, but not if you roll Night Fighting.

How about a cannon that fires death company marines at the enemy, creating a unit with d6 death company models, a direct hit starts them in combat. Its a drop pod that becomes a fortification with automatic fire and hull points, looks like a giant blood drop (but somehow box-like) with the cannon looking like a straw.

Will the Blood Angles get their own Fortress of Redemption and call it "the Batcave?"

In the last book they had deep striking Land Raiders. I suggest they go all the way and have deep striking fortifications (also known as "Space Marine IKEA").

Otherwise, they were the SM book that got some new Dread types last time...with SW going that route now, I would expect some sort of flyer with ceramite plating, lots of guns and deep striking ability. Marines, at least, seem not to be getting much in the way of Codex-specific giant models.

Well, if daemons can be “killed”, why could Raziel not be? I mean, daemons are just sent back to the warp, just like Raziel would be sent back to that blue world of whatever in Soul Reaver on Dreamcast (never played any other Nosgoth game, so I do not know about the rest of the lore…)

No, that's the Night Lords. They're the bat-themed Legion that's led by a vigilante who haunts the night. I mean, duh.

Blood Angels don't do bats, people. They're blood, they're vampires (sort of), they're madness and berserkers, and they have a little bit of classical Greek and Roman stuff that they borrow when the Ultramarines aren't looking.

I fancy the idea of a blood laser that's a super heat ray in contrast to the Space Wolves' frost beams, since the Blood Angels come from a desert planet and their chapter master has a melta pistol so they're practically already there.

Madness is however an affliction which in war carries with it the advantage of surprise - Winston Churchill

Don't know all the legions, so since people were relating bats to the Blood Angles this popped in my head.

Ok so no Batcave. How about an Angelina Jolie with some Blood vials around her neck? Maybe Billy Bob Thornton added in?

Actually, here's a prediction: Space Wolves use "Frost weapons", inspired by their homeworld. What if Blood Angels have an abundance of Rad weapons? That'd be cool as hell.
