So next month imam having a mini tournament at my house. We are playing 3K and I have decided to break out the Chaos Dwarfs for the event. There will be 8-10 players. None of us are WAAC, players mostly just getting together. However at our last event a high elf player smacked us all. He barley beat my empire but rolled his next 2 games. This year I would like to beat him if we get paired up. I don't thin magic will be super heavy maybe 2 casters per side tops. This is whatni am thinking:

LORDS
375 Sorcerer Profit Black Hammer, Dragonhelm, Talisman of Endurance, Level 4 Caster

HEROES
180 Castellon, BSB, great weapon, Talisman of Preservation
180 Daemonsmith, Feedback Scroll, Level 2 caster

CORE
642 Infernal Guard (40), standard, musician, champion, Great Weapons, Flaming Banner
547 Infernal Guard (30), standard, musician, champion, Fireglaives, Naptha Bombs for champion

SPECIAL
100 Death Rocket
100 Death Rocket
440 Bull Centaurs (8) Great Weapons, standard, musician, champion, Standard of Discipline

RARE
215 Dreadquake Mortor w/slave ogre
215 Dreadquake Mortor w/slave ogre

I may also run into an all Nurgel Daemon army so that is why the flaming banner. I think the 2 dreadquakes could hurt big units. I also like the idea of holding the centaurs back and hitting something in the flank with them. The infernal guard are to hold the center line. The death rockets are there for the demolition rockets that ate S8 D6 wounds, to take out any war machines or monsters. I may also be facing Savage Orcs, Chaos Warriors, Ogres, and wood elves. My other thought was Dark Elves bit the Chaos Dwarfs haven't been out for a while.

Thoughts?

I think you may be right. I may have to drop one rocket and a Centaur to squeak one in. If I run in to our Nurgel player it will be very useful. I am trying to have an all painted army. Thats why I took the 2nd rocket, but I may have to get over tomthe painting table.
