Hey guys/gurls
I have been pondering the past few weeks about combing two armies in 40K, i haven't played 7th ed as of yet, because i'm gunna wait until the box set comes out or there is a price drop in the book set.
anyway, I have a small collection of Dark angels (which I love), and i have always had a soft spot for the Imperial Guard or Astra Militarum as they are known as now. I was wondering if there are any Pros into combining the two. And if there are any good combinations for the two.
The Dark Angels list i have is as follows:
1 company master
1 Chaplin W/Termi Armour
2 10 man Tact squads
1 Scout Sniper squad
1 Land Raider

any help would be greatly appreciated, Oh and fluff wise they are Angels of Absolution not Dark angels, but that dont really make a difference.
OT any suggestions for the Dark angels would be cool aswell

I hear the good Guard and DA combo is Azreal giving a huge blob of guardsmen his 4++ save.

hmm... i'll have to look that up, i havent played 40K in a while, i am really into the idea of getting the DKK but they are expensive being FW, and unfortunately the Coolness of the models doesn't give them a awesome save of FU. I have thought of maybe having a lot of Armour for the IG/AM because that's what they are known for.
But it's still not for definite yet so there are still many options out there.

You should take a dark angel primary detachment with imperial guard as a secondary detachment, then take azreal as your warlord to make deathwing and ravenwing troops and therefore objective secured, in your imperial guard detachement you should take a combined squad of 50 guards man with a priest and azrael so they have a 4 ++ and rerolls for it in close combat make them an unstoppable killing machine you should also give all the guardsman krak grenades to just obliterate vehicles. And for anti air you can take a hydra, and take a company command squad that along side your platoon commqnd squad will further buff your infanty squad to even more awesome heights. And if you want you can add a primaris psyker to the squad for divination and add it to the squad as well for extra awesome killing power with rerolles to hit. Then you probably just want a tactical squad in a chimera with some ravenwing and deathwing to take objectives and a leman russ and some rough riders with melta guns for more anti tank
