The only thing I would recommend is specialize the command squad a bit more. All meltas or flamers maybe?

Sorry here's some notes:

Command Sq:
-Champ gets TH(mastercrafted) and SS
-Apoth gets Grav(mastercrafted)

Ummm do you know what mixed roles is? It's not a good thing, and your army is FULL of it. You want all weapons in your squads to be the same, not mixed. Flamer, multi melts, combi plasma???? Not good at all. Change your weapons load out and you'll be fine.

In order to have both special and heavy weapons in a tactical squad you need 10 Marines in them. Also your Apoth can't take the grav gun and you can't give your champion a TH and SS. The codex stats that only Veterans can take those items and once you upgrade them to Apoth or Champion you change the model. I would drop the command squad all together and run Sternguard Veteran Squads where you can field two Heavy Flamers. Stick Vulkan in that group and you are running three Heavy Flamers in one group.

Nah bro. Sgt takes the special thus master crafted. Normal marine takes the Flamer.

So yeah the champ comes with power fist and combat shield. The Apoth... Well gak. You may be right there. Actually right on both counts I suspect. But i think you're mistaken on my tac squads.

This is not allow. The flamer is the special weapon selection and the MM is the heavy weapon selection than you have a combi-melta on your Sgt. If you are taking only 5 Marines you cannot do this. The rule says that If your squad is less than 10 you can take either a special or a heavy. If you have 10 Marines than you can take a special and a heavy. The Champ has a power weapon, which is not the same as a power fist. You can have a Power Sword, Axe, Maul or Lance. The most likely is the sword.or axe since they come in the kit. Also you are wanting to use the Promethium Relay Pipes but you got everything in Drop Pods. Why not free some points up by dumping a few pods and putting guys around the pipe line to hold it. I'm sure you would want place an objective there for your guys to hold. You could give them Razorback with heavy bolters to create cover and have some medium range shooting. The stuff you leave in pods you need to give roles too like Anti-Armor or Anti-Personal. You can bump a tact squad to 10 give them a Melta Gun. MM and Combi melta and they could be a Anti-Armor unit.

Oh the redeemer takes midfield and stays within 2" of the pipes. Any suggestion to pair with Flamers than combi plasma?

Regarding Stern... I know all the SM vets say SG>>Command Sq. I just like the idea of that FNP buff and a MC'd power weapon.

Why no power fist?!

Oh. Would the tech marines be able to buff the pipes to 2+ cover?

Ok, so basically you are taking promethium pipes and only making use of it with your redeemer...? Doesn't that seem like a bit of a waste? Honestly, since no troops seem to be designated to defend the pipes, I'd recommend just dropping them altogether and using the points elsewhere.

Also, you don't get a power fist because it is not a power weapon. The BRB lists power weapons as axe, sword, or maul. Power fist is another weapon altogether and is usually a 20-25 point upgrade for most forces. You can't just give it to the champion because it has the word "power" in it.

Do you really want to take MM on your tac squads? Your dropping them in a drop pod which means the MM (if you can take them) will have to snap shot the turn they come in. I think meltagun would do you well.

The buff to flamer weapons from the Promethium Relay Pipes only works on non-vehicle models.

Austin, Texas.

The list is all over the place.

Why have 2 melta guns on your veteran squad when you can have 4?

Why have a flamer on the tac squad, but combi plasma on the sargent? I still don't think you understand the concept of "mixed roles".

Why have a land speeder with only one multi melta?

Why have a storm talon gunship without the good upgrades?

Why don't the verneable dreadnoughts have heavy flamers?

What is the land raider doing without a squad inside?

Literally im confused. You have near a 1000 posts but can't make the simplest upgrades to your squads?

Look at other space marine lists if you don't believe me.

Ninja, I don't play marines, (3 games maybe). No need to patronize.

#1) why "defend" the pipes?
#2) land speeder... The second MM is twice the points.
#3) what do you suggest other than combi plas on sgt? Combi Flamer?
#4) the whole idea w the pipes was to put the redeemer midfield and torrent the flame storms. So, I see your confusion. I didn't know that it was only non vehicles.... Bummer.
#5) why put HF on the VDs?
#6) the vet squad can have 3 melta guns. Not 4 if I have both a champ and an apothecary correct?

So back to the drawing board.

What is the buff to the promethium pipes out of curiosity out of curiosity? Taking cover saves is not the best idea in the promethium pipes because of their special rules unless the buff gets rid of that downside.

I ran the Ironclad for a while as well but im coming to find the reroll on the chart for venerable works out a lot better than 13 FA since there aren't to many weapons that can out right destroy you anymore, so when they get that lucky roll you force them to try to do it again. But i like to build my dreadnoughts to be vehicle killers when using drops pods with them and having the MM rather than the meltagun that the Ironclad has allows you more wiggle room with the scatter dice to make sure you are still with in that half range.

Sorry just trying to help. Some times I come across a little rude....

Don't defend the pipes, did I suggest that?

The second multi melts is well worth it. 1 multi melta will be annoying but not a huge threat, while 2 of them makes it a big target, taking firepower from the rest of your force. And it gives it a allot of damage when it deep strikes in.

You want in a squad a special weapon, a heavy weapon (if you have the marines to do it) that corresponds with the special, and a combi that is the same as the special. (Grav+plasma works, flamed + heavy bolter works to)

Because when your dreadnought comes down from reserve, you want it to be able to shoot something, and not wait a turn before assualting.

I would strongly advise you to drop the champion, you don't want to get into combat with them, there a much more shooty unit. Vulcan is there in case you run into trouble anyways.

I still like the champ because its yet another mastercrafted weapon over the dual MM on the speeder.

5 points left over.
