I couldn't see a specific thread for this Kickstarter in here after a quick search, just an offhand reference to it in another older thread. So I thought I'd post it in a topic so people like me (who missed that reference the first time around) get the chance to clock this project and back it.

There's a thread over at Historical games, but it can never hurt to have one up in N&R as well. Now that you are the OP, it is your duty to keep us up to date on this one!

Hmn, my friend was looking for a MK1. However I've heard there's already plastic kits of those already, so a resin one might not be so economical. Fair enough that the other vehicles might not have any miniatures available for them (though I'm sure there's existing manufacturers for those that took part in the Spanish Civil war).

Warlord is also scurrying to get a selection of resin Great War tanks released all of the sudden.

Oh yeah, weren't they releasing a WWI line or something? Its an interesting period, though I don't know how well it works as a gaming setting. Then again I suppose we already have the tactics down with games like 40K - I move, you move. Oh look I just lost a platoon to machine gun fire. Guess I should try and stab them with my sword. Personally though I prefer more modern settings just because they fit in more with how troops operate in the present (not to say a squad level game couldn't work for the period. Its not as if every battle was the stereotypical trench warfare).

Or do what flames of war does, fixate on the tanks, because what else is there to warfare?

Also, üpdátàn!

FT Alternate Turrets

Good Morning,

We are quickly approaching the $10,000 unlock level for the Crossley Tender. Thanks so much for everyone's support. In this update, I've attached two photos of the resin cast alternate turrets on our FT tank. These are both $4 add-ons and are sure compliment your FT17s in the thick of the fight.

Enjoy,

Dave

By adding more money to your initial pledge, they'll send out a survey post project to check with you what you exactly want.

I don't play any historicals, but those are some nicely detailed tanks. I've always known they guys at GW were inspired by the WW1 armor aesthetic, but it's pretty cool to see the design cues they applied to the Leman Russ, Chimera, and Mk.I Land Raider kits.

UPDATE TIME IS HAPPY TIME YES - News and Reviews - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/610277926/tanks-of-wwi-in-28mm-by-trenchworx/posts/945063

Good Morning,

I hope this finds everyone well and looking forward to the weekend. Earlier this week we crossed the $10,000 mark for our kickstarter. The Crossley Tender has been unlocked and is available as an ADD ON to your pledge for $25 or as a direct swap for an FT17. Several people have already picked up the French Squadron or Second Battle of the Marne pledge levels with the intent to swap some FT17s for a Rolls Royce and a Crossley Tender.

Nate completed the Rolls Royce mold designs yesterday and we are printing them this weekend. We should see our first casts by mid-week. Work on the Crossley Tender has already started and may print before next weekend.

The first review of our World War 1 tanks are up. You can find the review here. Thanks c-baxs for the detailed description and pictures.

Finally, we have about 23 days to go and are very busy casting product so we can ship as soon as the kickstarter ends. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. I'll leave you with a parting shot of the FT17 inspection station. Thanks again for your support!

Dave

I love how competent these guys are! Already they're hard at work FULFILLING PLEDGES before the timer has even run out!

Newly Painted Resin and a New Review

Good Morning,

We hope everyone had a great weekend. We crossed the $11,000 level earlier today and are approaching the Schneider CA1 at a pretty good clip. A new review of the MkV has been posted and you can find it here. Thanks Dave o War for the shipping test and compliments. I have to admit I had goosebumps reading the final paragraph. Everyone here was smiling ear to ear in our morning meeting.

Nate pulled the molds off the printer this morning and we hope to have some new casts of the Rolls in the next couple of days. If there are no issues, we should see some pics later this week. I'll be headed to Gencon on Wednesday and will have some un-assembled tanks in my back pack if you want to meet up and have an in-person gander at the models, drop us a line at service@trenchworx.com and I'll see if we can schedule a meet.

Finally, I'll leave you with a few shots of some resin A7Vs that Paul and I painted this weekend. Oh, and yes, these guys are super fun to put together.

Enjoy!

Dave

This one has really fallen under the radar with all the Mantic and Star Wars stuff lately. The Crossley truck is unlocked. Still some nice tanks on deck.

And it's over with just a spot over the 20k marker, meaning all who pledged over $165 gets a free Rolls Royce!

I have to say, not bad, not bad at all for a first time campaign. Now, let the waiting game commence.

Project Update #21: Surveys and Questions

Good Morning,

I hope this finds everyone well. Nearly all the surveys are in and we've been filling out the production schedule and matching it with our current inventory. By far the most popular model was the FT17 with the Rolls, A7V and MkV all tied for second.

We will start matching our inventory with orders. We are still designing the CA1 and MkIV molds and will watch how to handle orders that have those models as part of the pledge. Depending on how the molds progress in the next couple of weeks, we may ship those separately. We should see some of the basic pledges start to ship the week of the 15th.

Survey Questions

We debated the complexity of the survey at length and finally settled on the two basic questions you received. For the most part, we understood the answers and the pledge amounts matched the orders. There are about a dozen pledges that we will need to send emails to in order to confirm your expectations. Those should arrive before the end of the week.

ADD-ONs and Extras

Several people have requested adding to their pledges. We don't have a way to do that in kickstarter, but you can drop us a note to service@trenchworx.com and place an order. We can send you a paypal invoice. All additional tanks and add-ons (at the kickstarter prices) can be added to your order up until the pledge ships. There will be no additional shipping charge.

A few have asked for some of our other 3D printed models to be included with their shipments. You can do the same for any items you see on our site. Just send us a note at service@trenchworx.com stating what you would like and we will send you an invoice. There is no additional shipping charge for these items either.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop us a note through kickstarter or the service@trenchworx.com email address.

Thanks,

Dave

Good Morning,

I hope you've had a great week. This week, we have been very busy casting, sorting, organizing, ordering magnets and all the other stuff that goes on with a product launch.

The Schneider prototype model is on the printer. Nate finished the model Friday. It is a 20+ hour print job and should finish sometime Monday. There are some model pics in the email footer. I'm planning a future update describing our prototyping/printing process and will use this model as a basis. There will be a couple of easter eggs (or hidden pumpkins since it is almost Halloween) hiding in that update so stay tuned.

We finished the coaster designs and got those on order. They have a couple week delivery. The pics of the coasters are shown in the email header.

We received a lot of post-Kickstarter add-ons this week. I think I have responded to everyone, but if you did not receive an email from me, please send me another request at service@trenchworx.com. It has been a bit of an experience sorting through the 2000+ emails, comments and kickstarter updates in our inbox. I've found a few notes we missed! I have sent emails to those participants.

Lastly, I'm planning on sending updates every weekend after the dust of the prior week has settled and we can assess our progress. Please feel free to continue to comment and ask questions as they arise. Thanks again for your support.

Many Thanks,

Dave
