How would you do and what colors would you use on the Forgeworld Horus Heresy series : Horus model? His base is a fallen marble statue

I don't know.. what color do you want to do it? Look up examples of marble using Google Image Search and find something you like.

If I understand him right he wants to know how to do something like on the official painted model off Forgeworld for Horus.

That looks like yellowy tans that move toward white. Less sponge technique on that one.

I've got to add to the echo chamber and say that is just a fantastic result, I wouldn't have even known where to start with attempting marble effects. Now I just need to find a model I can actually use it on, not much in the way of marble with most of my models.
