Stopped by one of the local game shops in my area and on a whim asked if they had a copy of Stormclaw. To my surprise they did.

That's pretty much it. anyone else get lucky and find a copy?

We had one for a while... I already had one so I wasn't prone to getting a second. The set got picked up yesterday

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).

Uhhhh....congratulations? Is this really deserving of a general discussion though? Or would it be more appropriate in the 40k section. Unless you want to open the thread up to all "lucky scores" instead of just "overpriced (GW) models found at reasonable price".

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

The thing is, these are getting rather rare, right? I'd planned to take my time and get a rulebook from one later, but it seems like that's not going to be possible after all...

I've seen it at the store that stocks GW every time I've went. Though I've heard board games are selling better than 40k there now, so I dunno. I have no means of comparing actual volume or %/$ figures.

They have been sold out almost immediately after release. I think the value went down a bit since you can now get the mini rule book from the new dark vengeance set. But I haven't seen one for sale since before today.

The large FLGS near me is still sitting on a handful of copies. They invariably order a ton of copies of limited stuff. They had a dozen when a friend and I decided to split and swap a pair. But everyone else in the city sold out within the week, so.

My local GW still has 1 or 2 left but they got 24 and there's 2 FLGS within a mile of it. 18 of them sold on the day of release.

One of my stores is trying to sell my one every time go in there, because they know I play orks. They are pretty much gathering dust on their shelves.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I wonder if one of the FLGS near me has a copy, but then I look at Murderclaws, Logan Claus and the Flying Shoebox and remember it's not worth looking into.

I was very tempted by Stormclaw when it was announced as a local friend is just starting Orks.

I ordered 2x sets and 4 Space Wolves packs. Unfortunately (Or perhaps fortunately) GW shorted my usual supplier leading to my order being cancelled.

I used the credit to jump head first into Warmachine and got the following:

Warmachine two player starter set (Giving the Khador to the aforementioned Ork player to get him started)
Harbinger of Menoth
Exemplar Errants
Exemplar Errants Officer and Standard
Holy Zealots
Zealot Monolith Bearer
Covenant of Menoth
Rhupert Carvolo
Choir of Menoth
Plastic Kit Castigator Reckoner Sanctifier
Bastions of Menoth
Bastion Seneschal Solo
Menoth Token set.

Cryx
Pirate Queen Skarre
Bane Riders
Soul Hunters Box and 2 Blister Packs
Darragh Wrathe
Satyxis Raiders
Satyxis Raider Sea Witch
Satyxis Raider Captain
Skarlock
Stalker x2
Cryx token set.

Absolutely loving the game so far.

Our LGS had four boxes.

And I was going to buy one of them when my friend got off of work.

We get there and it they're all gone.

Someone came in and bought all four boxes.

All four boxes

PM me if you want me to draw anything related to Warhmmer 40k. I will put it in my gallery for all to see.

Is this really a thread about how, some stores have retail products in more or less quantity than other stores?.. fascinating.

We should make a spreadsheet of every story that details which GW products it has available at any given moment.

I bought my set last week from my LGS. They had at least 6 left when I purchased mine.

I needed the 7th rule book and I play Orks so it was a good deal. I will probably unload the SW half though as I have no interest in marines.

I thought the "..." was apparent enough, by I'm with Kirasu. Who the hell freakin cares? It still exists on shelves. Go to various stores. You'll find one. Do we really need this thread to continue? If you really need it, enough people have found it: set up a deal for them to buy it for you and PayPal them the money.
