The thane cannot take the Enchanted Shield or the Sword of Might because no character in the Dwarf army book has access to the BRB magic items. You could probably make something similar with Runic items, though.

Other than that, the list looks fine. It'll depend on the prevailing play style in your area, but you may or may not find worthwhile targets for your cannon at this points level on a regular basis.

Wow I definitely overlooked that, thanks! Changed the Thane to a shield and rune of might.

That works, then.

To me, it seems like it should be a decently competitive list for 1300 points. Give it a wing and let us know how it did. After a good five games at this point level, assuming a variety of opponents, you'll have a better idea of the necessity of a cannon at this points level. At 1300 points, it's kind of a gray area for cannons. Under 1K, you can probably leave them at home in lieu of things like an Organ Gun, and over 1,500, I think a cannon is almost a must have for Dwarfs. In the middle? Not sure....

Some people at the local shop tend to run monster (treemen, hydras, etc) which is why I decided to take it. With my look I won't get paired up with any of them =P

hmm, but a block or two of warriors and run your quarrelers as rangers. I personaly like thunderers over quarrelers, but rangers are the same cost as maxed out quarrelers, but also have throwing axes and scout.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

If I had to downgrade my Hammerers to Warriors or Longbeards to upgrade my Quarrelers to Rangers, I'd never do it. Losing out on Scout and throwing axes is far, far superior to losing out on Stubborn and +1A.
Since you have to take minimum Core, you might as well take Quarrelers with great weapons.
Though I'd run them in blocks of 15-20.

Hammerers don't need a champion.
I feel like they should have a magic banner to take advantage of that huge 75pt allowance. But at this point level, it may well be not worth it.

I'd rather see Burning on the Cannon. The things that have a 2+ Ward vs Flaming Attacks will be more scared of an Organ Gun, and the things with Regeneration will be more scared of the Cannon.

A Dwarf BSB should always have the Master Rune of Grungi when possible. A 4+ Ward and, for 15pts more, a bubble-5+ Ward vs shooting and magic? Stupidly good.

I agree with what Warpsolution said about getting Flaming on the cannon if those are the monsters you see in your area at this points level. Denying the Hydra (or Chimera) their Regeneration or exploiting the Treeman's Flammable rule are totally worth the points spent for the upgrade.

The list ended up doing very well for me. I played against a wood elf player and managed to table them by turn 4. Thank you all for the input, I will definitely be switching the RoBurning in future games.
