I think so. How would you guys change the model, if at all, to accomplish a sweet conversion towards that end?

I wouldn't Mainly because my Transcendent C'tan can hide behind a tank.
The Nagash is a lot larger than an Imperial Knight and that would be 'Modelling for Disadvantage'.

The Nagash model would suffer the cover disadvantages but Nagash is so cool that that makes up for it.

Frankly, I would never alter that model. Its one of the best GW has produced in the last 4 years.

I would have no problem with it and give you kudos for originality.
of course, the opinions that would matter the most are those in your local gaming group and TO (if you do the whole tourney thing).
The rest of us are just random names on the internet.

Who cares about cover?

Why would you hide a model with an invulnerable save like that to take a cover save?

The best transcendent abilities are fairly close range.

Painted armies:

Orks: 11000 points
Marines: 9500 points
Khorne Marines: 2500 points
Khorne Demons: 1500 points

Because being 100% covered while advancing is better than a 4++

My tactic is using a hiding T-C'tan, Deep Striking a Monolith and flinging it forwards to the middle of their base.
But that is in Apocalypse, since I refuse to field that thing in a normal game unless the opponent asks me to.

If you have 100% cover, odds are you cant shoot all that much, and that's a waste of your Tctan's massive firepower.

Honestly, despite the advantages of smaller models, I think this case bigger is actually better. you threaten bigger areas with your hellfire templates...

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Well, like I said: Apocalypse.
I can Deep Strike on the first turn, and have a C'tan in their base.
But if you don't go first, they will shoot at it with everything they got.
And trust me, you don't want that thing to die in your own base.

This goes to show why your best bet is to ask the people you will actually play ginst and TO. The gaming community has such wildly different ideas and views on what is an advantage and what is a disadvantage thatyou can ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers (especially online when you can say what you like without having to worry about personal repercussions (a point I see and why I am always polite to avoid stepping on toes). Regardless of how many people tell you it is ok online, it just doesnt hold water if your local players flat out tell you no. s a large chunk of change to waste without knowing for sureeforehand.
Good luck, personally, I hope they dont mind.

Evil you are underestimating the situation.

If you will ask 10 different people, you will probably get 12 different answers.
