Hello everyone. I am new to both this forum and "game"/"crunch" side of WH40k (I am quite familiar with the universe), so I apologize in advice for any possible shenanigans arising from this fact. The primary idea/limitation of this list is stated in the thread name - building a necron army without warriors. Reason may sound silly, but I just hate their model with a passion while liking general necron theme. Outside of this, any and all suggestions/ideas/criticism is welcome.
Note: this list is not supposed to be super competitive, but is supposed to peform "decently" - I don't plan to win tournaments with it, but I do want to have a decent fighting chance within a small group of players.
HQ:
Necron Overlord with Warscythe, Phaeron and all the wargear except Tachyon Arrow and Tesseract Labyrinth.
Royal Court of one Necron Lord with Staff of Light and Resurrection Orb.
Troops:
10 x Gauss Immortals joined by the Overlord.
10 x Tesla Immortals joined by the Lord.
Elites:
Triarch Stalker with TL Heavy Gauss Cannon
5 x Deathmarks
Heavy support:
Annihilation Barge with TL Tesla Destructor and Gauss Cannon
Actually should be 995 points total but whatever.

Here's a 1000 with no Warriors:
Overlord, CCB, Weave, Phase Shifters, MSS 255
2 Stormteks 50
Troops:
5 Immortals 85 (Gauss)
Night Scythe 100
5 Immortals 85 (Gauss)
Night Scythe 100
Heavy Support:
3 Annihilation Barges 270
Should leave you with about 50 points, which is enough for a res orb on the lord or some other points dump.
I feel Res orbs are a little wasted on anything other than 20 man squads of warriors, but that is just preference and deathmarks are only really good (personal opinion) in a night scythe with a despairtek.
Another option would be running a destroyer lord with wraiths, the combo is nuts, But you definitely want to max out on barges, and your overlord is currently incredibly expensive.

Strong case about deathmarks combo with despairtek, I will definetely consider either adding it or dropping deathmarks completely in favour of another AB.
On the important note, I sort of got carried away and forgot to mention in OP that my most common opponent (a friend of mine) will be Tau player with a Riptide. If my understanding is correct, this should make for a really nasty envoriment for fliers, hence why I didn't include them in the first place.
Any further advice?

Well, I'd opt for the list of Deraiderspam.
Three Annihilation Barges and two Night Scythes are decent at this pt level.

Rnasc, the biggest issue with the list in the OP is that you have pretty limited movement. You said your main opponent was Tau, right? I would say it is a bad idea to footslog your army across the board, even with the res orbs. I would give at least one a Scythe. Even if it goes down in one turn, that's still likely a devastating turn of shooting and delivering your Immortals.
If you run the Stalker, the Heat Ray is the way to go. I know the cannon has a longer range, but since pretty much everything else in the codex is a 24" range, they lose out on the twin-linking ability. You want that, since you will likely hit a full 18-20 times in a full squad of Guass Immortals within Rapid Fire range. Tesla weapons are great too with this, hitting around 15 times on10 shots.

I presume the idea here is for Obyron to join one squad of the immortals and despairtek to join full squad of deathmarks and then both of these units jump across the board via ghostwalk mantle/veil to compensate for lack of dedicated transports? I dig the idea, but is Doomsday ark justified in 1000 points list?

What about using Night Scythe to deliver dedicated melee unit instead of immortals? Like 5 sword&shield lychguard with overlord. On paper they both can do plenty of damage on their own (especially considering rather limited melee potential of Tau) and act as a decoy/cover for advancing immortals.

You could, do but I personally woudn't recommend it - throwing 325 points into one unit is quite expensive for 1000 points.
If you wanted a CC unit, Wraiths are where it's at, especially if you can provide a Destroyer Lord for support.

Yup to both in my opinion Automatically Appended Next Post: Yes I mean. The doomsday arks in a low point game can be a winner

I really like this version, however I'd drop one Annihilation Barge for some scarabs. People hate them for some reason, and will totally go out of their way to kill them. It's a compulsion in my area. A group of 8 is easy enough to hide in terrain, but still threaten the guy who brought a Leman Russ or landraider in their 1k list. Sure, you still have your Stormteks but they start off the board. Besides, you need another threat or two on the board just so that your opponents won't be able to focus down the CCB on turn one of the game.
