So I'm going against my 20 Warhammer 40k Veteran of a Game Store owner, who is taking his Eldar. I don't know what he's running, save for a cryptic (and possibly bluffing) Dark Reaper comment. So Thus far I have constructed a list that is atypical of my infantry spam.
HQ
1 Librarian
Power Armor
Force Sword
Jump Pack
Epistolary
150 points
Elites
Furioso Dreadnought
Frag Cannon
Heavy Flamer
Blood Fist
Drop Pod
170 points
2 Sanguinary Priests
Power Armor
Chainsword
1 w/ Jump Pack
125 points
Troops
2x Assault Squads
10 Marines
1 Flamer
1 Melta
1 Power Weapon
220 points each
1 Tactical Squad
10 Marines
Sergeant w/ Melta Bombs
Rhino Transport
Missile Launcher
Plasma Gun
235 points
Fast Attack:
2x Baal Predators
TL Assault Cannon
Heavy Bolter Sponsons
145 points each
Heavy Support:
2x StormRaven Gunship
TL Lascannon
TL MultiMelta
Hurricane Bolter Sponsons
230 points each
Vindicator
Demolisher Cannon
Siege Shield
155 points
Right now the leverage is that I can scout, Deep strike, and fire into his deployment zone Turn 1, and he has no flyers to speak of. Basic Strategy is to Drop the Furioso Turn one and move in with my fast Vehicles to put him between a Rock and a Hard place, diverting some of his heavy firepower to take on the Dreadnought and the Vehicles and giving both a better chance of Survival while the Assault Marines close in quickly behind. Turn 2 will see the arrival of the StormRavens who would buffer my anti-vehicle and Anti-troop alike, and try to Shock and Awe his army. Any opinions on how this list could be more cohesive to that strategy?

Where does the second Priest go?
A good list, but I would change some weapons. If you want AT/AI for your Raven, switch Lascannon for AC. More effective against anything except AV14.
And don't mix weapons in Assault Squad. Two meltas is the best choice, two Flamers will do but mixing is not effective.

Okay, will do. I can take off the Siege Shield from the Vindicator to exchange the Flamers for Meltas, and thank god the TL AC is free on the StormRaven. The Sanguinary Priest with the Jump Pack will be put in a squad of Assault Marines, of course, and the one without the Jump pack will be embarked in a Combat Squad Rhino with the Tactical Marines, The Other Half will be in one of the StormRavens, if I don't decide to put the Missile Launcher in Cover turn 1 for some firing.
What is the Average AV of an Eldar Craft?

All Eldar tanks are 12/12/10.
They also have flyers (and a Walker) of 10/10/10.

Well that is something. My biggest concern right now, though, is the Furioso Dreadnought, so its a solo mission behind enemy lines to distract anything that can punch through its front armor, as I'm not planning on showing off its back armor. Having it land and drop a multitude of flame templates and kill things should be a good cause of drawing its eye. Also, I'm not concerned about flyers, as I know the person doesn't have any.

I prefer to kit out the Fragioso with melta instead of the heavy flamer, and add a mag grapple. This is a good set up against eldar to pop wave serpents. Plus with the mag grapple, there is the chance that you can get some close combat attacks on them even on the turn you drop in. They can't jink that.

How do you get close combat attacks? The Magna Grapple forces you to stop the vehicle an inch away from your model, last I checked.

Ya I just read that again and maybe I've been doing it wrong. It says "another" vehicle, but it's kind of unclear if the dread is included in that. Regardless it's another str 8 ap2 shot. Automatically Appended Next Post: It used to be in the FAQ but now it's not.
