Salvage Crew Humans 28mm (Kickstarter)
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/967512676/salvage-crew-28mm-humans

20 metal slot based figures only $30
The Road Kill Corpses set can also be purchased in this kickstarter with or without the Salvage Crew figures. Stretch goals apply to both sets of figures.

I want to bring the Salvage Crew figures and revised game back, but need funds for metal and additional mold work. The game will eventually focus on the few properties I kept, humans, cyber miners, and robots.

Security Drone stretch goals are included in both the Salvage Crew and Road Kill pledges. Both sets can be purchased separately or together. When purchased together, shipping charges are free world wide.

Enter the kickstarter and download a PDF containing 23 illustrations of the Salvage Crew humans and some security drones.

Note that the Road Kill Corpses is still scheduled to be discontinued permanently on October 31st, 2014 at the same time the Kickstarter ends. I’ve included the Road Kill Corpses Limited Edition as a pledge level for purchasing convenience and to help reach initial goals and stretch goals for the Salvage Crew figures.

$1.50 a figure is a great value! I'll be backing this project for sure.

My order of Road Kill miniatures showed up last week and I was thrilled with the quality. Very little flash and clean up required and the corpses just ooze character (sorry bad pun). I really like the dead Easter Bunny. I never knew I needed a dead Easter Bunny in my collection but now I can't imagine going on without it.

Just wanted to add that I've got quite a few of these guys and they are great! They are mostly formerly from Alpha Forge games "Star Mogul" game and Demon Blade Games "Shockforce" line of figs.

The Alpha Figs are slightly better in quality, but they are all great figs and far better than most of the other budget miniature lines out there.

You can see my review of some of the Alpha Forge figures here:

Those road kill figures would be great for Mars Attacks too. Litter the city with the Martians' show of force.

Great to see you back in circulation.
Pledge incoming, without question..

Are you going to be adding in the other crews as well?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

The figs in the mix have two different origins.
-5 were originally Shockforce miniatures, At least 2 of them have some modifications . Miss Triss and Dominator went from Mutant to Human and got some weapon mods
-The other 15 were the Alpha Forge Miniatures "Salvage Crew" figures from the "Star Mogul" Game. However, now they're one piece casts rather than the separate heads they originally had and at least one -possibly more- have some modifications. I know the big guy used to have an awkwardly held chainsaw instead of dynamite. I know if I had a chainsaw, I'd be holding it one handed over my own head...

As much as I like the options for easy head swaps I'm kind of glad they went to single piece casting. Formerly, you got two random heads from a selection of 10 or so, some of which weren't great or not well suited to every figure. It looks like all the figs have been either matched with the ideal head, or had a new one sculpted.

It's a warzone figure, though I forget the name of the character. I got him in a mixed lot and he became part of my post-apoc biker gang.

He's a good one for that. I'm kind of surprised that the calidius/everssor assassin look alike didn't make it in the mix.

Though this one that is included could -possibly with a few mods- be an assassin

Definitely post in the comments any figure requests! Johnny said he didn't have any plans for a SG past 6K! Such a n00b!

Apparently, the security drones come in multiple parts, so you can customize them. I'm seeing requests for them to be add-ons as well.

EDIT: Dang. Some of the drones had an MSRP of six bucks! : http://www.megaminis.com/MEGA/CATALOGS/MegaMinis-FUTUREcatalog.pdf

Anyway, $51 until the next Security Drone! 23 metal miniatures for $30. Not bad!

They were 6 bucks, but the figures in the KS that are $1.50 each were formerly 2.50 or So based on those figures (see what I did there…) they might only be 3 or 4 bucks each in the.

Glad to see these coming back - I have been using them in a Fallout based RPG.

Any chance of the big robot coming back (the one with the round shields... I am away from my minis at the moment, and can't check his info). He gets used more as a cargo handler than as a combat 'bot - but sees a lot of use.

The Auld Grump- as a cargo handler, that 'bot is more dangerous than most of the low end combat 'bots....

More drones!

The first four of these mini's have an MSRP of $6, and the base pledge, before SG's, was $30 for 20 post-apocalyptic miniatures.

New drone add-on is 5x of one sculpt for $15.

Great price for some old-school stuff.

Spoiler:

All Right! I've been waiting for the robot 5x add-ons. I'm going to grab 5 of SC103 (probe-droid-like model) They'll be getting flying bases.

The further stretch goal robots are single piece sculpts that are not nearly as sharp as the initial 5, but they are nice vintagey figs anyway. They're actually a bit nicer than the paintjobs would suggest, which was always an unfortunate hallmark of MegaMinis shop pics. I've got the the $8k add-on robot and it's a terribly cute little guy that would actually work quite well as a hardsuit or dreadnought'ish model in10mm. Here he is on a typical GW slotta base.

Thanks for posting those. I kind of wondered what had become of the Salvage crew rules. That rules file includes stats for some of the figs in this KS.

Did a bit of searching and here's the first expansion
"Distant worlds"
http://www.megaminis.com/MEGA/CATALOGS/StarMogul-DistantWorlds.pdf

And the second covering alien races "Alien Evolution"
http://www.megaminis.com/MEGA/CATALOGS/StarMogul-AlienEvolution.pdf

Maybe I'll actually try playing the rules this time around.
