I've been informed that a full 72 page Six Day War book is due in November and will be followed by plastic kits in the New Year.

It will cover the Six Day War and will also allow for later conflicts such as Yom Kippur War.

[edit] book length and release date confirmed.

October is already slated for Operation Barbarossa, while BF has confirmed we'll see a return to LW with Operation Plunder/Varsity just after Christmas with the accompanying new plastic kits for the British. That leaves a very slim window for the Six Day War and even slimmer for new plastic kits for the war.

Yeah, that seems like it would overload the product list.

On the other hand, I suppose it's possible that Barbarossa will only have a very limited set of new supporting releases. It's possible that nearly everything is out already.

It is known that a number of early and mid war releases are being moved to special order (coinciding with the coming price rise for metals and resin). and that "something big" is coming in September

There's a lot of crossover with 'early' mid war and 'mid' early war for Barbarossa.

We'll have a clearer picture of the plastic situation if BF repeat of last year's plastic previews later this month.

Sorry, my wording was off. I meant that the hypothetical AIW release would overload the *new* product list. Thus, my reference to Barbarossa possibly not causing problems if it turns out that most of the products for it are already available.

Good catch. Point is that soon enough we'll find out if this is all hot air or substance.

If they are smart the big September announcement will be that they have increased their production capabilities for their miniatures.

I think the exodus to special order of unpopular models is their fix. Hopefully that will be enough. My Soviet Tank Killer box took seven weeks and I've been waiting three for my Centurions.

Currently it seems it's about as bad as it was with PP when the MKII model drought happened.

Big deal, i think i am not going to get this.
If play any era non ww2 it will be 20mm for me.Just way to many nice models and good pricing to want to play 15mm scale in theese eras.
I kinda doubt that we will see this before the end of the year.We already have bf offering for a another era for the year.
but do hope we will have a EW and LW supplements before the end of the year. What i would like to see would be a Ardennes hardcover comps. But we already got Italy for this year.

On the same day that my Centurions finally arrived. Let's see if the rumoured plastic tanks turn up as well. It's shorter and has less scope than I was told, perhaps they're holding things back for later releases.

Eight lists in total, it appears.

What was the page count in Tour of Duty? I don't have my copy handy at the moment, but it might be worth comparing the two.

Tour of Duty has just over twice as many pages.

I'm not interested enough in the period to bother getting this personally; maybe one day, but I'm certainly not going to rush out to buy it.
