There is a large caveat here that they tell the story properly and not try to spread it out over 22000 books as they are doing to Horus Heresy. We've already got ADB doing the rise of Abaddon if anyones behind the times there.

I think those are the easy most interesting 3, what would you like to read assuming CS Goto was not allowed to contribute?

Badb war is told in detail in a pair of forge world books. AFAIK however no novels have been written about it

1) The Nova Terra Interregnum, the time of Two Empires and the subsequent Moirae Schism.

2) The story of the Legio Cybernetica. I don't know if the story remains as an obscure sidestory or if the story of the last cohort of Imperial robots has been retconned as the Battle-Automata of FW's Horus Heresy era Mechanicum.

3) And of course, the Age of Apostasy. While I think it has been explored in depth already, I also believe it deserves the attention of the Black Library.

The Black Library itself. An Eldar arcane library hidden in the Webway. Why? And what's in it? The Draco trilogy touched on it but they also met the Emperor on the Golden Throne with an ex-Imperial Fist that was excommunicated and an assassin that could turn into a Genestealer so... I'd rather see something with a bit more 'realism' instead of the ridiculous turned up to 11.

Battle of Macragge. A good multi-book series including humans living on Macragge, 3rd Company exploits and the death if 1st Company.

Inquisitor Kryptman's story in the same vein as Eisenhorn. A prestigious Inquisitor going overboard due to a (in this case) Xenos threat and being excommunicated.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the 2 missing Primarchs by now. That's the top mystery to me.
