I stumbled on this project and promptly pledged for it

There are two main pledge levels, $39 and $59. Here is the $59 set that comes with the miniatures:

The gameplay looks intuitive and fun with placing triangular tiles to form the game. Would love to hear others' thoughts on it

Fair enough, but the token renders are more closer to what the actual model will look like than the artwork render.

Yeah, but most unpainted models look like crap

The game looks good but with all those pieces I think I'd be too scared of bumping the table and destroying the universe.

Looks pretty great! But can they deliver all that for $59 with free shipping? Sounds very cheap!

It does seem cheap, hopefully economies of scale will help!

I also should have specified that the ships are renders and also stretch goals. At the rate the campaign has gone I think it will be very easily doable (most things like this get a bump at the end and by tomorrow or so it should be over 50K, so only 10K needed with most of the last week to go to unlock the ships).

This has now passed 50K with 6 days left to go! The miniatures should unlock very easily, likely with several days to spare.

Maybe so, but these look more like dull tokens rather than detailed models. :(

I would still take dull tokens over wooden cubes any day of the week.

I think my group is going to absolutely love this game, so I've actually pledged for two sets of the game. They say their timeline (December for the game without miniatures, or January with miniatures) is realistic, but I expect it to slip a bit. Still, even if it does the wait doesn't sound as long as it is for some others. Will let you all know how it looks, of course!

This is exploding! Over 75K with 44 hours left to go. I'm surprised it hasn't garnered more interest on Dakka, I guess it's a better fit for the BGG crowd?
