Subject: Knights question.

Could some one explain to me why the imperial knight is a super heavy but the wraith knight and orkanauts aren't, especially in the case of the latters being they share the same base as the knight.
Also if those arent the true xenos knight eqievilants then is games workshop planning to release more super heavy walker codices (like Codex: Imperial Knights) to cover those in the future ?
Id like to understand GWs reasoning on this.

There is not any logical reason - its the same logic that says Dread Knights and Riptides are Monsterous Creatures and not Walkers.
Orks have the Stompa as their equivalent.
Forge World has Eldar Super heavy Options - primary being the Revenanat - which is only a little larger than the Wraith Knight.
In general GW can't be bothered to go back and look /fix their codexes when they bring new stuff out.............
Otherwise need to email and ask GW?

I always thought the stompa was the ork warhound.
But if the orkanauts and wraithknight arent meant to be knights then what are they closest to in function ? Heavy tanks mabey ?

Trying to understand why GW makes decisions, right. Yeah, you won't find anything on Dakka that resembles an answer.
Additionally, Wraithknights are monstrous creatures, their next step is a gargantuan creature, which they REALLY aren't. Orkanauts cannot be classified as super-heavies because that means they fall in the same line as Stompas, which they REALLY aren't.

No, Stompas are pretty much the equivalent of Knights. They were about the same size in Epic too. A Warhound would be way bigger.

On the other hand you won't find any fan in the forums who can come up with a different solution that everyone will agree on. People just live to disagree.

Old style stompas, sure. Back in the Epic days. Now days the plastic Stompa is basically the old Supa Stompa/Mekboy Stompa, and a Warhound equivalent, while the Orkanaut fills the old stompa role, and the FW Megadred would probably take the place of the Russbot.

Does that mean Kans would be grot bots and the actual gargant (if or existed in 40 scale) would be the reaver ?
