Hello all just popin in here posting my current army build, may not be competivite but i like it.

Tactics being used ironhands from sm codex.

Hq: chaptermaster on biker, stormshield, artificer armor, relic blade- 210

Trps: 5x biker unit 2x plasma guns, serg with power weapon- 150
Trps: 5x biker unit 2x melta guns, serg with power weapon- 140

I know its not a high model count and im sure it will and tabled alot. I also dont have grav guns yet but im looking for some any c and c would be awesome.

Oh basic idea run up the melta squad first with plas and chaptermaster coming in behind to hopefully clean up the rest of the shop.

So as it stands it looks like I was going about it the wrong way as i read over the dex some.

New list

Hq: captain, bike, pf, wraith of primarch-155

Trps: 7x biker marines 2x melta guns-167

Trps: 10x tactical marines plasma gun, plas cannon-170

Comes out to like 492 i think im pretty happy with this list. Fast fast alot of fire power and a beatstick on a bike.

I recommend giving your Captain an Artificer armor. Makes him far more durable.
And Wrath of Primarch is pretty expensive if you ask me. In small games the rule of thumb is 'more boys, less toys'.
So drop the unnecessary stuff and you're more effective.

Other than that, nothing to say. It's a solid list and there's not much to play with in 500 point lists.

Captain / Chapter Master on bike is awesome and can rarely be dealt with at that points level. You want artificer armor, an AP2 weapon, bike for the extra toughness, and only after all that go for the better invuln with a storm shield, shield eternal, or gorgon's chain (Clan Raukaan).

He'll need an escort, so bikes with grav or melta are the best. Throw on an attack bike too for more melta and an extra wound model before adding bodies above 5 IMO.

After that , you'll want someone range cover or more bodies to make up for the fact that there are very few models being relied upon to do all the heavy lifting.

I'd look into lots of scouts, or tac marines.
